    Thanks for that but I've reinstalled and still the problem's there...
    What I think is wrong is that in the spells folder the max target for these spells are -311, -511 and -001 respectively. Could this be the problem?

    plus, a new problem arised, I can't seem to get into the Brothel... is that a bug or is there something wrong?

    Livonya (and anyone else who can help),

    I'm having an odd error come up when Smegmal reveals that she is actually the captain of the guards and attacks the party (which would be the second appearance).

    The party with which I'm having the error was formed and found and killed (accidentally, as this was the first time I ran into her and I had no idea she would initiate dialog . . . critical hits can really screw up plot threads) Smegmal before I added the patches and Livonya's mod. Now when she makes her announcement and attacks, she is completely invisible, and stays that way even after Dispel Magic, See Invisibility, Glitterdust, AND Invisibility Purge have all been used. She also remains unaffected by all area effect spells. However, she is able to attack and gets attacks of opportunity when my characters enter or leave the area she threatens, and the yellow circle that indicates her threatened area is visible when clicking on a point for a character to move toward.

    My assumption here is that some side effect of this save game having a dead Smegmal in its history is causing this unkillable, untouchable pseudo-Smegmal to come into existence, instead of the way in which she would normally show up. Any fixes for this, or is this a bug that hasn't popped up before? I'm hoping that I won't have to ditch that save game and start over, though I will use an older save of the same party if that's the only way around it.

    I'm sad to say that many (if not most) fixes will mean you have to start a new game so that you can benefit from them. This sounds like the problem here. As a sidenote, it may be worth removing that save game as old save games can sometimes cause the 'disappearing secret passages' bug too.

    It may be possible that if you have a save from before you entered the area where she is that the bug may be fixed. Unlikely, but it's worth a try.

    Start again is my advice. Sorry.

    Does her pic show up at the top in initiative order? If so, target her via that.

    And if you can summon an animal/monster/spiritual weapon etc, they should hit her automatically even if you can't.

    I'm not sure this question is in the correct place (first time poster), but...

    In the "Ami" quest (the Woodcutter's Sick Daughter) where do you find the Swamp Lotus that Jaroo needs to Heal her?

    I've looked everywhere I can think of.... (ARGH!) :help:

    For the record, I still haven't found it. But then I had to stop things at church last night in the middle of a service while I peered at the music - my eyesight is getting that bad. :dizzy:

    This thread is tough to find answers in . I'm in my first go through with the game (and I added Liv's mod). I'm thinking somebody (and I know I'm not qualified) needs to do a faq or walkthrough for Liv's mod. I just got the swamp lotus quest and I'm not sure I have seen a definitive answer in this thread on where to find it. Now I'm just hoping to get lucky.

    Good grief.

    Keep going back and forth between Homlet and the Moathouse.

    Eventually, you will have a random enounter in a Swamp. It can take many, many trips.

    In the swamp, in the north west, on the ground, will be a plant that looks like the hemlock you found in Homlet. That is the Swamp Lotus. Pick it up.

    If you'd searched the thread, you would have found the lotus by now. ;)

    I'm having a problem with the final battle now. Zuggtmoy used to just summon one batch of fungi monsters to help her in the final battle, but now she is summoning wave after wave of them, starting somewhere around the 5th or 6th round of combat.

    My specific problem is that after the 2nd or 3rd wave, there are so many monsters in the initiative track that my slowest party members are disappearing from the intiative and thus no longer able to take turns in battle. It appears that 30 combatants is the maximum that this game can handle.

    Since my wizard and my cleric are two of my slower party members, I lose the ability to area of effect attacks, leaving me heavily outnumbered and unable to win this fight, especially after you factor in the fear, confusion and sickness that Zuggtmoy inflicts during the first three rounds of combat.

    She should only summon more when all of those summoned in the current wave have been destroyed. I've never faced more than that; I wonder if someone modded this to occur, and if it can be adjusted? Her normal retinue of fungal followers include:

    1-2 Ascomids
    5-8 Phycomids
    4-6 Zygoms
    3-6 Ustiluagors
    2-4 Basidironds
    5-8 Violet Fungi

    She should also be able to produce green slime & yellow mold, as these are of plant origin. The various other such creatures like this (oozes, puddings, etc.) are animal in nature.

    Checking the book, it says that in her lair, the max numbers of all of the above are present with her, and she can summon more each round, so...if a modder is going to work on this, may I suggest there be a limit based on the problems reported? Start out with the minimum number rather than the max, don't let her get more until some of them die, and never let there be more than 20 at any one time? Zuggy is supposed to be imprisoned here, and somewhat weaker than normal.

    I've had the same problem. She also once called in four stinky toad demons (Glabreezu?), who promptly paralyzed most of my party. They also paralyzed each other, but still, that sucked.

    thats what it was like for me, It did help in making sure the Sword of Cahoem worked properly but it was crazy mouldy. if I hadn't changed the ammo in the gun to be 5d12 + 1000 my level 1 party would never have survived :evil_laug
