    EDIT: New problem; the Verbobonc weapon trader does not show up where he's supposed to be after getting rescued! I tried the console command for him, it returns 1, so it should be fine, but the armour guy is the only one there.

    Minor Bug and it maybe just in my install...
    In conversations with people in Hommlet, when I use Diplomacy (the choice in in yellow with the yellow symbol) it gets tallied in ego under Bluff, and when I use Bluff (the choice in in yellow with the green symbol) it gets tallied under Diplomacy. Can anyone else verify? Intimidate and Gather Info are tallied correctly. I did a couple of restarts because of this thinking I was using the wrong skill sets.

    I just got back from Verbonic- the assassin's dialog is missing. No, I didn't slight of hand it.

    After healing Bing w/o getting the quest from Terjon first, Jakk stopped talking to me. He doesn't offer to sell goods, only has a dead-end "hello" dialog line. Bing then went off on me and I got the orc blood quest, so I was ok with that (got a new quest and will still get MW leather items from Bing since I completed it,) but when I talked to Terjon while working on the Filikin/Melany quest lines, he told me to convert Jakk! Now those quests are fubar since I can't get Jakk to acknowledge me and I can't tell Terjon that Jakk has been converted.

    Due to the fact that we are anticipating the arrival of a new Front End in the next few days - which in addition to providing many new and exciting features will also resolve those horrible 0002/0004 installation problems - we will be postponing the next CMF update until it ships.

    Not much point in making you people deactivate your modules one more time when in a few days all that pain will go away. :) Then again, I do like to see you suffer ... :transform :evil_laug ;)

    I have a CTD/save game issue that I think will end up being a testimonial against quicksaves.

    I was running 5.0.6 (after some troubleshooting) and having a great time at it. I was saving and loading with no problems, everything seemed to be working GREAT!

    My party just got back from the meadow and since I had Jay's ring, I thought I would go ahead and knock out Jay's quests.

    Sorry to say I gave in to temptation ("Why should I take one item for the ring, when I can take them ALL! <Muahahaha>") I quicksaved, killed Jay, opened his inv screen, quickloaded. You know, _that_ exploit...

    Everything worked fine for about two hours, when I noticed I could sell Jay's ring to the Jeweler. Then sell it again. And again. And Again.

    Then later, I move through the Moathouse, saving everyso often like a good, careful gamer. I get down to the Ogre, and in round one I notice I have the wrong weapons equipped. "No problem" thinks I, "I will just restore & do over"...

    CTD.

    So after a series of related CTDs, it looks like _something_ is majorly corrupted. I am gonna clean house on my savegames back to before I murdered poor Jay, and see if that fixes my problems.

    Bottom line, looks like even one quicksave/load is enough to mess you up.

    While I normally have little trouble with QS/QL myself (but then again, I rarely use any kind of exploits), they are known for being easily corrupted since vanilla TOEE, and there's not much one can do about it. Use regular save method if you want to be safe.

    Last night, I deleted all my post QS/QL saves, and played with it all the way to where I was before. No CTDs, no funny business.

    I have noticed one minor issue that I doubt is QS related. The preset tabs on one of my heroes will not stay straight. All the rest have one tab for blades, one tab for blunt, one tab for ranged wpns, and they freely swap from one to another. Just hero #1

    Also, I cannot disable the movies from the frontend, I get an unhandled exception. "Cannot create a file when that file already exists".

    I'm looking forward to the new Front end.

    Preset tabs have always been a little wiggy in this game. I never bother with them myself since they have those kind of issues for me, too.

    As far as the disable movies error, that happens when FrontEnd somehow manages to rename the movies (which is how it disables them) without deleting the original files. Look in your Atari/ToEE/Data/Movies folder - you will probably see several files that exist with both a .bik extension, and a .bik0 extension. Delete the .bik0 files to fix the unhandled exception error.

    I feel like this is not a new problem, and since it's not being mentioned by anyone else, it's probably something I did. So don't do too much research on this. Just give me a generic answer.

    Sometimes, when I click to move the group, the blue circles (discs) appear and the party starts moving, then abruptly, the discs disappear, and the party stops. This is similar to a problem where combat is not successfully being initiated, though not as abrupt.

    This happens only in Homlett, mostly near the woodworker, though occasionally near the blacksmith, militia captain's residence and even less near the Welcome Wench and Kent's (grandmother's) house.

    Also, sometimes when I leave a building, the characters are frozen and unmoveable in combat(?) poses.

    It's in the new 5.0.6, without the new front end. Any ideas? :shrug:
