Aside from the large amount of content that is ToEE specific, the Domain spells mod is almost entirely for spells level 6 and up. That's way above where you should finish KotB. EDIT: What Al said in his last paragraph.
Hi, are the bugs reported in this thread addressed by Temple+ if used together? I'd like to try the high level domain spells, but it seems there were a lot of issues. And would these be compatible with this texture mod ("Icy Demon")?
I'm probably the wrong person to answer this, but it should be (and most likely is) compatible with Temple+ as it replaces/adds new files to be loaded into your ToEE installation. T+ is predominantly an engine rewrite with a specific method of altering the game code - by using override files instead of specific original files. Download and unzip the mod into your ToEE folder, use the launcher that came with Co8 8.1.0 to install the addon, download the fixed versions of the Vigor spells, fix the code on the broken one, and cut/paste them into your data/scr folder, overwrite the old files, then use T+ to launch the game as normal. I'm unsure if Ted's more recent "bucket of spells" mod includes all this and more? If not, it should. As for Icy Demon, I have no comment, I never tried it sadly... that said if it is just replacing some low res graphics with better art, there shouldn't be an issue with compatibility... but don't quote me on that.
Thank you, I will give it a try and report back then. Can I just extract the files from the .tpm using 7-zip and then repack it or would I have to use a custom utility?
Extract the .zip file, put the mod into the ToEE root folder, and use the ToEExe application to select the add-on package and apply it to your installation for you.
Colour me confused. The add-on package consists of a single .tpm file, seemingly a regular archive (at least I can open it with 7-Zip). Does this work akin to an NWN hak pack? How do I go about integrating the Vigor & Great Shout fixes - can I simply add them to the archive, save it with 7-Zip and rename it to a .tpm? Or do you mean for the add-on to work at all I have to extract the files and move them to the root folder (rather than the addons folder)? EDIT: Nevermind, I figured it out. The mod seems to play nice with Ice Demon indeed. Haven't tried the Bucket of Spells one - it seems out of date with the current Co8 version, no?
I've added the Vigor fixes at least. I don't recall incorporating any other fixes from here into Temple+ itself. You can take a look here to be sure: https://github.com/GrognardsFromHell/TemplePlus/tree/master/tpdatasrc/co8infra/scr IIRC I took these mods into account in the sense that Temple+ doesn't get in the way, but other than that they're completely standalone.
This is just sad but I don't have any way to access the .rar archives on this computer, so I can't check inside the Bucket-o-Spells to confirm. Haiyoolah. @anatoliy - check out the Bucket-o-Spells thread HERE for some chatter about what the partsys files do.
Hey @Isewein, if you have downloaded the Bucket-o-Spells you'll find a folder (data/rules/spells) full of text files. Move them over to the corresponding folder in ToEE and that will activate the spells without reverting any of the other files to older versions.
I beleive the Bucket o' spells primary purpose was to fill in the domain spell levels still left blank after applying this mod... so yes.
Au contraire! The Bucket-o-spells was a one-night effort to add some of the 'possible' and actually useful (and even 'easy' spells, none of them are impressive under the hood) spells in the various splat books I had been reading, purely as options. Nothing to do with the Domain spell mod. Yes, if you do it as I suggested to Isewein.
I felt so deprived, feeling that I had to choose between these! May we get these mods combined since it's technically feasible? Thankee!
