If you're on an android device, hold down the power button and the down volume button at the same time to take a screencap natively.
I'll have to search for a screenshot app for Windows Phones (yeah, I know, don't get me started on that) and post a screenshot. The main offender though is the Galaxy S7 ad, it refuses to close, and the animation is noticeably sluggish. EDIT: Found the native screenshot buttons presses for my phone, power+vol. up. This banner ad seems to cause issues too, while I could still scroll up/down, all page links were unresponsive.
As I said in the second part of my post I usually read the forum on my iPad, I've noticed some sites have a disclaimer you click on to allow cookies. I have not changed any settings since the old version of the forum and on there I only had stationary banner adds. Oh, and I don't have any adds on my PC due to my add blocking software.
Cookies are an integral part of pretty much every site's functionality, so having them disabled interferes with their normal function. Check your browser's setting and make sure that you enable them for Co8 at least and you should be fine.
I don't mind some occasional ads to support sites/hosts, but when the ads create issues like described in this thread... well IMO the site manager has pretty much brought the situation on him/herself. The fact I'm seeing this kind of problem reporting, especially by paid site supporters, makes me very unlikely to feel any guilt over my ad blocker.
There's a sticky thread in this very forum to report problems with ads and we resolve them when they appear; unfortunately I can't guarantee that every single ad out of thousands in the system will not create an unintentional problem for someone. Of course if someone is looking for reasons to block ads, every annoyance is good enough to justify doing so even if it amounts to an unrealistic expectation of 100% perfect performance all the time. Problematic ads annoy me just as much as they do you -- likely more so, since I have to track them down first before I can eliminate them and it's rarely a quick process. But the bottom line is still that ads are what enables us to pay the bills every month so we've got to handle them as best as we can. Like I said, as far as I'm concerned site supporters should be given ad free access, but @Gaear hasn't decided on that in the past. It wouldn't be much work to make it happen now, though.
I too would gladly pay for a way stop being offered to make $486 a day, (why would I want a pay cut).
Just FYI, the Co8 Obsidian replica (kind of) skin is coming soon ... much less garish and easier on the eyes. And comfortingly familiar.
I know you'll be making changes soon, but I wanted to let you know the white background search box seems to be using white text too.
