I just found out (almost by accident - while I was browsing around the OotS page) that Dragon and Dungeon magazines no longer going to be published in paper, the full story can be found here. The D&D community will no doubt mourn the loss of these magazines, I myself have found them to be a valuable resource in past gaming experiences and provided me with many hours of enjoyment and given me valuable gaming tips, and the comic strips were always funny as hell.
What happened to the magazines and their funny comix? Axe me no questions, I'll spear you the details
Oh, your puns were absolute gold. My comment was about the news concerning the Dragon and Dungeon magazines.
Nah...had to be Phil & Dixie. elvicthr Edit: http://www.studiofoglio.com/cgi/growf.cgi?date=20070128 Enjoy!
Yeah, a guy and a chick sounds about right. It was the back page for memory. But I think they have had a few different back page comix over the years.
The Nodwick comic was always as funny as hell, I almost wish WotC actually made "Henchman" a PC class, that little guy could carry more than a dozen pack horses loaded with loot without even breaking a sweat.
Phil and Dixie.. Wow Id forgotten all baout that.. Thanks! now i have the Foglio website an i'm amused I was subscribing to i think it was Dragon when they gave the license to Paizo and that made me somewhat uncomforatable... anyone thats read any of my old posts knows I'm one of the gamers that watched TSR change helms in the early 80's and try to shift froma college-student and wargamer demographic to the teen-fantasy-and comic -book demographic the basic set (despite that i came in on the 1980 i guess set?) ahd made SOME movement in that dirction but in the ? 84? or so they did the cartoon; the Forgotten Realms; Dragonlance; all to expand the demographic and tap new markets... i realize its a business.. ...and the wotc and hasbro moves were too... so to license to paizo shouldn't have flinched me at'l... but i'm not too pleased either. Thanks for the heads up but it rEally got
