A squib is someone who was born into a wizarding family, but hasn’t got any powers.

A wizard/witch can choose to be squib living in the wizarding world (according to their faith in themselves).

A squib knows about muggles and wizards/witches. A squib can either choose to live as a squib with the magic world or as a muggle. So, basically, a squib can choose to be a squib or a muggle.

actually my daughter and I had this conversation when the previous book came out and she had placed me in Slytherin... I guess my wife/kids cant be to wrong...:goatee:
