Web solution and rules survey

well i did discover something about the webs quite by accident last night. i had cast web on a group of brigands and then my other mage cast a fire spell at one of them and the whole web burst into flames doing a little damage to all of them and was then gone. i went back and started a new game heading to the delko grove where i got webbed. i cast a fire spell when the spiders where on the web and of course fried myself and did now damage to them. in a few other trys it seemed that who ever created the web could set fire to it damaging all enemies in it but not allies.

 

Huh. That's cool that fire spells will burn up the web (which is per the rules) though it's weird that those who cast the web originally are unharmed. (Maybe it only does damage to those actually trapped in web instead of just within the area?)

 

probally, cause i dont think they webbed any of their allies in it to begin with. but i did see a few walk into it after it was there but unless they are spiders they get webbed. the enemy spell casters ive run into so far dont seem to like throwing fire spells much, so i havent had alot of chances to test this. im not much into the temple yet on this game, keep starting over lol.

 

Webbing and fire

I would like to ask a question at this point: I want to know if the webbing created in a web spell can be destroyed in part or totally by the use of fire, say a fireball spell, ar flame strike or something similar, such as a sword that has flame ability ? I haven't seen this happen yet basically because I haven't tried it but I have noticed that I can't web certain fire elemental monsters and I am assuming that this means fire brakes webbing. Is this right ? If so it will mean next time my characters are trapped in a web I should be able to flame my way out with burning hands or something. Does any one know the answers to this question ?

If fire has no effect on the webbing of a web spell once it is in place can someone, such as Livonya, fix this so that it does in future.

 

well burning hands will burn out a web ive done it...by accident the first time....but ive tested it and yeah it will work. i dont know about flaming swords or flame spells that target a single person but area affect ones most definitly do it, but be careful cause if you are currently caught in the web you will take damage.
