Re: New long_description.mes bugs thread ShadowDragoon & Maggit- Thanks for your feedback, I'm glad it was so warmly welcomed. I appreciate your gesture to give me credit, I just corrected the file because it's an old habit from my BG2 editing days. Keep up the good work!! -Inin
Re: New long_description.mes bugs thread Well, it's always nice to find someone else that takes this much of an interest in the modding effort here.
Re: New long_description.mes bugs thread That's what this thread is for... Keep in mind that with such a huge amount of text it was virtually impossible not to make a mistake + me being a non-native speaker of English which makes this even more tricky (I remember now, I wrote some descriptions myself). Anyway we did this thing quite fast I'd say, three or four days and were so excited about what we have done that we released it as soon as we finished without looking for errors so I think it's still pretty good. Finally I'd like to add that I am really happy to see that someone is interested in improving our work.
Re: New long_description.mes bugs thread Update: Fixed some minor problems throughout the file. See Post #9
Thanks for doing this guys, it definitely adds some flavor to the game and keeps people from Alt-Tabbing themselves to death to figure out what a weapon really is.
Darn, missed this thread. Huge apologies Maggit - I didn't realise I was doing stuff to your work. I've posted a longdescription.mes on the CMF thread which I spellchecked. Only real 'bug' that I've noticed is the description for the monk's belt. It's waaaaaay too long for the space allowed.
That is the way Hazelnut wrote it IIRC, I think the Monk's Belt description should be rewritten anyway, and the requirements for crafting it should be listed at the start of the description instead of at the end.
No offence taken. I am aware of that bug too... however I didn't want to mess with someone elses work. I think it's Hazelnut's work.
