Ok, Summon Monster IV appears to work fine now, but I'm still getting random creatures on Summon Monsters III - but only the new ones! I don't know why I wasn't getting Summon Nature's Ally IX, I re-levelled up my druid, and it now works fine! Haven't had much time to do much else, but I'm worried that there may not be any really suitable models we could use for Eagles & Owls - does anyone else have any thoughts on the subject? So, thanks again, Darmagon! Charles
Do we have any idea when any of this will be ready? I'm putting together files for 4.1.0, and I think we should include at least your new creatures (if just to save places for them). They don't have to be fully functional, just able to be consoled in and not cause a CTD or something. The ones that aren't fully functional should have a note to that effect in description.mes. If the spells don't work yet that is fine, we can throw them in in a latter patch. The cut off date for new material is April 25th. Let me know what you will have working by then, and get me the most recent protos, description and mesh files ASAP so you can have those slots reserved for your creatures. There are a lot of different mods floating around that may not all be compatible with each other, and I'm trying to put it all together so we have a definitive platform to work from again.
Ok, status so far - I have most of the new creatures done at least as protos.tab entries, and I've done some new meshes for some of them. All of these creatures should be summonable by summon monster/summon nature's ally spells. So I should, at least, have all creatures in a summonable state by the 25th, even if some look wrong and don't use all of their abilities. I'm off over Easter week (actually 13th to 23rd) so I'll try and send you a working copy before I leave. Is it ok if I e-mail the files straight to you, as the file size limits on this forum are a bit tight for this? Charles
@Nerik- Do you mind me looking over your protos entries for the new creatures at some point? Not that I don't trust you, but after spending weeks making sure every creature in the protos is as rules-compliant as possible and fixing errors in the file, I just want to make sure any new creatures are consistant with the existing ones.
Mind?, I'd welcome it - I'm not totally sure I've got everything right myself. If you want, I can send you a copy once I've got all the creatures in. Charles
For Kalshane (and anyone else who's interested), here is the current version of my protos.tab (plus descriptions.mes, long_descriptions.mes, meshes.mes and stratergy.tab). This is all of the creatures in the radial menu file I sent to Darmagon, although I have a couple of ideas for adding more creatures (not necessarily summonable) in the future if desired, I'm working on these ATM. Some of the meshes and many of the portraits are just placeholders ATM. Any problems, errors, or comments please let me know. Charles
Forgive me if I'm making you repeat yourself, but do you have a list of the creatures you've added and the protos #s used for each creature? It will help me to find them in the protos.tab so I can verify their stats. Thanks.
Ok, I've included a file which lists which creatures I've added, plus their protos.tab IDs, mesh IDs and portrait IDs, note that the latter 2 may not match the protos.tab that I posted, as I haven't yet produced the meshes or portraits required. I hope this helps. Charles
Sorry can't check on this at the moment. Maybe someone else can have a stab at looking at the problem...... Darmagon
If you want to send it to me I will take a look. I'm not Darmagon, so no promises, but I might be able to help.
Ok, here is the Summon Monster III .py and the spell radial menu .mes files, I hope this helps, Charles
I took a look, and the spell seems to be working correctly, even when trying to summon the new creatures. I couldn't actually summon any of the new creatures though, as they showed up as "door" on the radial menu, and when I put in the files you posted above for Kalshane I had a CTD when trying to access my wizards radial menu.
