Re: ToEE World Builder v1.6 On second thought I'll wait and see what Agetian can come up with in a few hours time, the problem with having multiple merchants is that on some maps there isn't the room for them (as it is I need to find a way for the elven retainer on the CG vignette map to NOT talk as soon as you enter the area - hopefully deleting a script reference in protos will fix that though). Seems a shame to let all my hard work yesterday go to waste if it can be fixed quickly.
Re: ToEE World Builder v1.6 HOT UPDATE 17 AUG 2005: Reuploaded the v1.6 package. Enhanced the container/NPC inventory capacity (the new limit is 199, previously it was 64). Hopefully it makes life easier for Allyx and maybe for someone else too. Also, fixed some minor bugs. Please redownload.

Re: ToEE World Builder v1.7 UPDATE 20 AUG 2005: Version 1.7 is out!! This version adds some new properties to the object editor and also adds the world map paths editor, an editor for worldmap_ui_paths.bin file. Note that the opcodes for paths are unknown at the moment, but thy should correspond to different directions (e.g. go left, go right, etc.), so if you find out what they mean, please let me know. There is a file called ToEE World Builder.opc that allow to rename each of the opcodes to more meaningful names, too. IMPORTANT NOTE: From now on, ToEEWB will be able to load almost any MOB file, even NPCs. However, some data in original NPC MOBs can't yet be parsed. Therefore, you may still have some information viewed incorrectly, and these MOBs will not save correctly!. So, load original NPCs for viewing only (so you can see how they were done), and don't rely too much on the information loaded.

Re: ToEE World Builder v1.7 Make a merchant super-store...different items in different rooms, and one main merchant to talk to who tells you who sells what, referring you to a clerk in another room. Or a bazaar on a side street, lined with beggars, thieves, bards, wineshops, food hawkers, etc. A market, if you will.

That undertaking would be more like a module unto itself, I know. It's easy for me to sit here and suggest when it's you guys doing the hard work. But if anyone can do it, you can. I foresee this occuring in stages, one piece or two at a time, and emerging in sort of a mosaic ala the work of the Shining one. The next step will be for someone to attach things (modding the mod...?) there that will send the adventurers off to new maps with new encounters... *ducks to avoid heavy hurled objects, runs out to retrieve flamethrower*
