Re: ToEE World Builder v1.4 Ha I do that too, swapped it out for the green icon on the cd though (saved the icon to Hard disc - just in case the kids play something else).
Re: ToEE World Builder v1.4 @ Cujo: Yeah, maybe my next version will have like a green version of the ToEE icon or something, thanks for the suggestion - Agetian
Re: ToEE World Builder v1.4 If you can send me the icon as an image file (or tell me how to find it) I could edit it in about 2mins and send it back. (a coloured one could be easyer but the grey one would work)
Re: ToEE World Builder v1.4 OK, guys, I uploaded a new revision of v1.4 with a greenish ToEE icon (I really don't remember where I got it from, but that doesn't really matter ) Anyway, you can redownload the v1.4 package now if the icon is important for you. - Agetian
Re: ToEE World Builder v1.4 Uploaded a small tech demo of making a totally new area with totally new 2D graphics in ToEEWB You can download the corresponding file from the first post of this thread. Also, see what it is and how it works in the first post. Let me know what you think about it. Feel free to analyze the files to see how it's done!! The whole thing was done in under 20 minutes. It's nothing big, but it's ... impressive. Just start a new game and go LEFT until you come across static objects (tower, tent, barrels). - Agetian
Re: ToEE World Builder v1.5 Version 1.5 is released!! This release adds a visual sector analyzer that allows you to locate the passable, impassable, SVB-visibility-blocked, and flyover/cover areas for sectors on a visual map! Check it out! This visual sector analyzer thing is a reminder that one day ToEEWB *may* become a full-fledged visual map editor (still a long way to go, though) To start this mode, use the "Tools" menu. Screenshot:
Re: ToEE World Builder v1.4 Hey Agetian - You need to become "unavailable" for modding more often! Since you advised us that you wouldn't have much time to work on the tools, you've released 100 updates!
Re: ToEE World Builder v1.4 Yeah, right -- but still, I have more time now than I expected to, and it's good, since I have some more time to work on an editor before I may have to make a break. - Agetian
Re: ToEE World Builder v1.5 IETME is a map editor for Infinity Engine games (Baldur's Gate etc.), but it has a nice tile-based editor that pretty much allows to edit any bitmap and place tiles on it (first, you cut the object you like from somewhere, and then you paste it onto your map with transparency and everything ) - Agetian
Re: ToEE World Builder v1.5 You know, every time you release something like this that makes it so easy to do stuff, we modders lose some of our glamour? People will stop treating us like Gods soon! WHY DON'T YOU JUST GIVE THEM ALL FIRE, PROMETHEUS? WHY DON'T YOU!?!? On an unrelated note, I am off to see my graphics artist friend in a couple hours to see about some maps. I have been stressing (a little) about how I was going to add stuff like SVB-thingys. As usual, Agetian's tools arrive just as they are needed.
Re: ToEE World Builder v1.5 Hot update: Updated the version 1.5. Now the sector analyzer displays water areas (HSD-based), and also detects areas where at least one of four SVB bits is set (instead of detecting purely SVB Bit 1 as previously). Also, I changed the 'blocked' tile color to a milder hue of blue (it was too dark before). Please redownload the v1.5 package. - Agetian
Re: ToEE World Builder v1.6 UPDATE 14 AUG 2005: Version 1.6 is released!! This release adds a paint mode to the visual sector analyzer, turning it into a visual sector editor! Just choose the paint options you want in the sector editor (i.e. set all the flags you want), turn the visual sector analyzer on, turn on the paint mode, and then draw the tiles with your left mouse button. Each tile you click on will automatically be assigned the property set you have specified in the sector editor. Also, it adds the "Remember for Object" mode to the visual sector analyzer, making it easy to paste the coordinate of a tile into the Object X/Y text boxes in the object editor! Also, v1.6 has some bugfixes. Now, sector analyzer will display the coords in a right-to-left,up-to-down way. This is intentional since it reflects the way coordinates are located on the game map. - Agetian
Re: ToEE World Builder v1.6 HOT UPDATE 14 AUG 2005: Just reuploaded the package with a critical bug fix. Please redownload!
Re: ToEE World Builder v1.6 I reuploaded even again. Please redownload. Seems like there were some FTP problems so I couldn't upload correctly. Sorry. - Agetian
