    Wow, Spike's really out for a bit. I'll have to say . . .

Faerun is a continent in the Forgotten Realms, while toee is set in the world of Greyhawk, continent of Oerik, region of the Flanaess.

Small detail, I know. But there it is. :)

Was reminded of a couple other NPCs who could join the evil end battle . . .

    Wonnilon - Rogue type

    Kella - Druid

    [Updated the original list.]

I understand everyone's situation/obligations, etc., but if we're going to continue to entertain this possibilty, it would be good to have one or more modders commit to it. Hazelnut might best serve as a co-modder/asssistant due to the scope of the modification. Otherwise we can forget it and move on to other things . . .

Yes, Kella is level 9. What about her and Jaroo's boss, Hrudek -- he ought to be pretty tough?

Perhaps there are other opening vignette characters that would be appropriate (can't remember them all right now, maybe the CG vignette elves)?

I have never played an evil party(don't see the point), but it sounds like a great idea. Maybe the NPC party members you have along who are not evil, if any, could turn on you at this point. They would assumably be pretty high level.

Just a thought - how many of these characters will still be alive for a 'typical' evil party? You might end up with just a couple of them against a munchkin player party from what I've seen posted about how people who like to play.

Good point, Zeb - maybe that would be a good reason to go with Enilno's idea to use opening viginete characters - they at least should have survived even the most evil party's scourge!

The Circle of Eight would blast any party to atoms, and they wouldn't come unless there was a chance to re-imprison or kill Zuggtmoy. This needs to be agents of the Viscount, but it could be a group sent from Veluna & Furyondy. Make up would be something like this: a Paladin, a Cleric, a Wizard henchman of Tenser (or some other Co8 member) and some Knights of the Hart. Add a Rogue, too, if you like...call him an "envoy" or "diplomat"; he'd really be a spy type (NG thief, maybe with some fighter levels). There are several types of the Knights, so you could choose what skills/levels they would have as well.

This is just what I was thinking of for a party that would be sent to deal with anyone that could deleat the local forces of good. If a rampaging evil party defeats Rufus and Burne's troops and allies, the the Viscount would need to step in to restore order.

BUt you can be a real drag sometimes. I was looking forward to some arrogant evil *****'s surprise when a chain lighting tears through all of the PCs, striking each several times, and followed immediately by several fireballs exploding like the finale at a 4th of July fireworks show.

You're probably right Gaer, my enthusiasm does get the better of me sometimes. I'm sure I could handle the scripting, but I've not really looked in any depth at many of the other aspects of modding yet. It would be a shame to forget the idea though.

That is a good point, and maybe the best tack to take is to design the force irrespective of NPC deaths? I mean, if party members can be rezzed, why not the 'name' NPC's? I guess there would have to be a new priest/cleric that is not currently in the game that arrived (was sent?) for the case of all NPC's being dead, rezzed any who needed it and formed the posse ready for the encounter. As long as it was explained in the encounter dialogue in a natural manner it would be okay. (maybe each NPC that had been killed could have a bitter line to quip too)

I wonder if you'd consider my current party a 'munchkin' party Zebedee? :eyebrow: I'm certainly playing the kill everything that moves game... Had the bug where Belsornig wouldn't respond, even though I had 5.0.1 installed before I even entered the temple levels. My solution was simply to... yes, you guessed it, kill the silent little sod! It didn't register for me to complete the quest for Romag, so I desecrated the earth temple and killed him too. Oh, to be a homicidal neutral-good party in an evil temple is a wonderful thing. I am finding that I'm leveling a little too fast though. Level 9 with 6 characters now, after clearing out most of level 2 of the temple. I think I'm gonna steer clear of crafted items until I start finding it harder. Fire temple was such fun though.

Steady on there chap! ;) Cheers anyway tho.
