Here's a Problem for ya, maybe you can figure it out, 'cause I'm lost now :/

Anyway, I recently re-installed ToEE, patched with official patch 1 and 2, patch with Co8 Mod Pack 5 right after, installed Frontend 4.1 in the correct locations and such. I click the c08 5.0.0 mod in the Frontend selection, click run, and it starts to load. It get to the part with the blue loading bar. As it gets to the sector data, as it finishes it, that is, it closes. No error messages or nothing, talk about rude!

Anyway, I know this to be a frontend problem because it works fine running it by the ToEE.exe, just not via frontend... and yes, I DO have the Net Framework 2.0 btw :)

Please let me know how to fix it soon :) I really want to play again with a max cap of 20.

Hmm... sounds like a quite weird error. It sounds like something got corrupt with the Frontend-specific folder structure, but I'm not sure why. If the game works fine then it has to be with the Front-end specific folder manipulation. In order for me to be able to tell you how to possibly fix this without reinstalling your game, I'll need you to dump the folder structure of ToEE and post it here in an attachment. To do this, execute the following command from the command line in your WinXP cmd window:

    dir /S > toee_folder_struct.txt

Then, zip up the file toee_folder_struct.txt and post it in an attachment here, I'll try to take a look and help.

So, you want me to delete my toee folder first? oh, and what;s WinXP? :p

EDIT: Oh if you mean Windows XP, then I'm using 2000 Sp3

Well... it seems I found something else. I can load it reguarly by choosing the Temple of Elemental Evil module on frontend, it only happens when I choose the C08 5.0.0

Just for the heck of it, I'm going to uninstall C08 5.0.0 and re-install, maybe that will help some.

No, don't delete your ToEE folder. Just dump its structure by calling the command I mentioned in my previous post, and attach the results in a post here. I think it doesn't matter if you're on Win2K or WinXP, the command is the same since the times of the good ol' DOS. :)

Of course, you can try uninstalling/reinstalling Co8 mod 5.0.0, or perhaps using the "Clean the map cache" option in the front-end when launching Co8 mod 5.0.0 - that should help (try cleaning the map cache first, and if that doesn't help, reinstall Co8 mod 5.0.0).

Yup, and you'll also have to navigate to the ToEE folder first, that's done with the following command:

    CD <toee_folder_location>

for instance, if you ToEE is installed to C:\Program Files\Atari\Temple of Elemental Evil, you have to type the following:

CD "C:\Program Files\Atari\Temple of Elemental Evil"
    DIR /S > toee_folder_struct.txt

I keep getting this error in front-end, no matter if it's KotBFE or ToEEFE.
    Code:

    @maggit:
    1. Do you have an English version of Windows operating system? (and .NET)
    2. Do you play an English version of ToEE and applied an English version of the Atari Patch for ToEE?
    3. Have you patched ToEE with an English version of the Co8 patches?

Windows XP SP2 with autoupdates, installed NET Framework 1, 2 and 3.

I never had to patch my game with the English version of ToEE
patches but it may have something to do with the Polish version
of .NET I've noticed that my autoupdate has installed the Polish
interface for .NET Framework, I've uninstalled it just a few minutes
ago and rebooted my PC but I didn't help much. Any ideas?

Hi guys I have reinstalled my ToEE game and installed the 5.0.0 patch. I ran the game like it says to do in the install instructions for #6 and then shut down. I dowloaded the CMF patch and extracted the whole thing to the ToEE root directory and now I get this error from Front End:

I am pretty sure this is what Maggit is getting too.

Can someone please help me with this. I tried to re extract the CmF pack into the ToEE root directory and it worked for a while last night, but now when I try to run Front End I get that error again. This is really annoying. Thanks.

Sorry, Lady V. Agetian's probably the only one qualified to decipher any of that. :(

In the meantime ... I hate to put you through all the paces of the reinstall game, but you might want to try starting over again (uninstall Co8 5.0.0 via Add and Remove Programs in Control Panel), only this time don't choose to install the front end during the modpack installation. Then patch as normal with the CMF patch and launch the game like in vanilla ToEE.

Do you have Microsoft .NET framework installed on your computer, btw? You need that for the front end to work.
