A Demi-god made it...What's his name? You know...The Old One. I think he had a little help from a Demon-Queen, too; the fungi one...

    Now, now Spike :)

Wand of Chain Lightning isn't a bug Haywood. It's just in the game for a bit of fun. Who's to say where it came from? After all the people in the temple have some very powerful friends.

The modders are fixing bugs faster than I can play atm. Don't burn yourselves out guys - but it's darned impressive work so far :)

Tharzidun is in the pNp RttToEE (Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil) pNp module. RttToEE went in a different direction from what Gary Gygax wanted. Gary Gygax wanted Lareth to be a true worshipper and cleric of Lolth in RttToEE and have RttToEE follow a different plot where the guy who wrote the RttToEE pNp module made Lareth a worshipper and cleric of Tharzidun and went a different direction with the module.

[EDIT] n/m about the CTD looting issues for Bassanio and the chest. When I also had a CTD for looting the Troll Chieftain, I knew it was the installed game.

I made a copy of my saved games and did a clean reinstall and applied all of the patches and whatnot and, then, applied the updates from Blue and copied just the save folder back to the reinstalled game - excluded copying the save\current subfolder and its extra files...problems resolved.

    1. Please add the pics for the Dire Bear to the updates.

    2. Please change the faction for Scorpp and his pet worg so they don't attack each other.

    3. Please change Wonnilon's scroll so Control Pants can be copied to a spellbook.

Note: I'll have Meleny cast her Summon critters spells + rest + cast Summons + rest, etc. until she has summoned everything that can be summoned to determine if any other pics need to be added for the new types of summoned critters.

The Dire Bear (and also the Celestial Bear) portrait problem has been fixed. Seems the file names in portrait.mes were wrong.

Scorpp and his pet should get along now.

I didn't realize Wonnilon had a Control Pants scroll. An interesting spell for sure. Must be great at parties.

Wonnilon's Control Plants Scroll is a scroll of a Druid spell, and thus should not be able to be copied.

The Cumulative fixes have been updated with these fixes and Allyx's Verbobonc KOS fix. Note, if you apply this and do not follow Allyx's instructions in the Verbobonc Fix README, weird things will happen in Verbobonc.

    Yeah! So read the readme.

The wierdness that you may experience should you NOT follow the readme includes (but is not limited to) Wilfrick and his siamese twin (wearing full leather plate armour, leather plate boots, leather plate gloves, and a jaunty hat, wielding a rapier, bastardsword, and 2 large metal shields. But that is only if your not greeted with a CTD as soon as you enter the 2 area's he appears.

*Laff* Okay, I corrected my misspelled word from Pants to Plants.

I looked for the Verbobonc Fix readme that would indicate it is for Allyx's Verbobonc. I looked in the parent game folder of the ToEE game, the data folder and the modules folder. I do not see the file of which you are making reference. (Except in the case it is a new file in the very most latest version of the updates and I cannot find it 'cause I have not installed the latest fix as I am still writing this msg.)

Come to think of it, with all of the readme, help, install, changelog and other TXT and DOC files that are now in the game, how about adding a new folder called Readmes to the parent ToEE game folder and relocating all of these Co8 help-info type of TXT and DOC files to the new Readmes folder? It would definitely make the Co8 MOD readme, help, and information type of files easy to locate and, as well, it would help clean up the general directory tree of ToEE.

[EDIT by Cerulean the Blue] The README is in the Cumulative Updates version with the fixes. Read it before unzipping the fix into your ToEE directory.

Iuz, aka "Iuz the Old" or simply "The Old One"; and his paramour, the Demon-Queen & Lady of Fungi, Zuggtmoy. I still think this poem needs to go into the game someplace; on a scroll or in a tome. The bookshelf in the Church of St. Cuthbert might work, or Black Jay could give it to the players as a reward. Even a bad guy someplace could have it, keeping it safely hidden from the forces of good. But it needs to go in before the Temple & probably after the Moathouse to avoid confusing people. What about Toruko, since he's the mouth of the evil ambushers? Or in Lareth's journal? Other ideas?

    The Poem:

The two united in the past,
a place to build and spells to cast.
Their power grew and took the land,
and people round as they had planned.

A key without a lock they made,
of gold and gems, and overlaid
with spells, a tool for men to wield
to force the powers of good to yield.

But armies came, their weapons bared,
    while evil was yet unprepared.
The Hart was followed by the Crowns
and Moon, and people of the towns.

The two were split; one got away
but she, when came the judgment day,
did break the key, and sent the rocks
to boxes four, with magic locks.

In doing so, she fell behind
as he escaped. She was confined
among her own; her very lair
    became her prison and despair.

The place was ruined, torn apart
and left with chains around the heart
of evil power - but the key
was never found in the debris.

He knows not where she dwells today.
She set the minions path, the way
to lift her temple high again
with tools of flesh, with mortal men.

Many now have gone to die
in water, flame, in earth or sky.
They did not bear the key of old
that must be found - the orb of gold.

Beware my friend for you shall fall
    unless you have the wherewithal
to find and search the boxes four
    and then escape for evermore.

But with the key you might succeed
in throwing down her power and greed.
Destroy the key when you are done
and then rejoice, the battle won!

@spike: It is already scheduled to be in the game.

@blue: fyi - The dire bear pic is still messed up, black square w/ white arrow. (And, yes, this is with your latest updates.)

Try it again Krunch. I got it right this time.

The Cumulative Fixes have been updated with this fix for both the Dire Bear and the Dire Boar.

@CtB: I believe the only ones that were wrong were the dire critters and now they are okay.

@ShiningTed: After a party completes the Re-Spawn of the Moathouse [and returns to Hommlet] and, afterwards, the party returns to the last final map [the one where sis was], there's an off green color globe with what looks like an upside down GO or something on it about in the same spot where the leader stood. Also, the exit door is missing when a party returns to that room.
