Temporary working protos for Drifter's CON fix

    Looking in Orion79's Protos.tab, entry 14119 is missing. In Description.mes, this is listed as "old man" in collumn one, and "//preston wetz" in collumn two.

    update: Inserting line 14119 from liv's protos.tab fixed this. I would assume the moathouse corpse is caused by the same thing, i.e., it's was accidently deleted when you were editing the Protos.tab, and the game defaults to putting a door in it's place.

    update 2: Line 2118 was the moathouse culprit, "dead_dwarf_male", missing from your Protos.tab.

    Wozzeck, thanks a million time. I wasn't able to see what the hell I did, but now I'll correct immediately the latest version. Effectively, that entry was missing but still the door is still in the place of the dead corpse in the moathouse. Anyway, only a graphical mistake. Only a visual matter though, nothing that should harm gameplay.
    Instead, how do you feel with monsters with silver damage reduction and the renewed brother smith and tamir's stock?
    PS: I'll post the fixed protos this evening....

    Well, as i have said before I don't like silver ONLY, though if it is in the rules i guess we have to wear it... though I'd like more silver weapons, I hope thats what u have in mind.

    Shiningted, as long as we are not able to unlock or create a cold iron and adamantium variables, I think that using silver for different parameters is a nice compromise. otherwise, we would have monsters with something less.
    Anyway, did you give it a chance?

    i tried it out, and ... well, it's littered with mistakes. I think you must have misspelled "electricity" wrong one time and just kept on copy+pasting the word "elettricity" instead.
    i've also experienced some odd crashes (not sure what causes them, it's probably a lot of different things), and there are a few normal masterwork items that also have the silver weapon bonus added, instead of just being normal metal weapons.
    i like the idea behind the new weapons like the trollbane scimitar and the adamantite armour etc, but the double weapons just seem there for the sake of being there. i don't think the game was really built to handle double weapons (since there are no models for them?), so i don't think there's a point in forcing those items on the game either.

    i would like to see some orcish weapons though, and maybe some masterwork ones at that.

    the new dialogues are ... well, not so good.
    it ruins the immersiveness of the game for me to see blatant grammar and spelling mistakes like this, as well the use of slang and "modernised" language.

    do any of you need help with writing dialogue in general?
    at least orion seems like he could use it :p

    if so, i guess i'm offering.

    thanks for the feedback but actually there is not much that I can do, even because I want to do 1 or 2 more things and then I'm next to leave the Co8 forum. I'll keep them in mind. Thanks anyway.
