I hope that photo is a fake, it would just be too cruel.

Of course its fake! There's no such thing as 'fireball' in real life. They had to use lighter fluid and a candle.

    That's one smart chicken.

My Druids chicken companion would run away from combat when it became badly injured. It was the only animal companion that I tried that would do that.

OMG! U actually chose to have a chicken as your animal companion. Was it in case U got hungry later, or were ya RPing Colonel Sanders :p ;)

Anyway - was it decent -- I can't imagine it did a heck of a lot of damage -- I thought it was in, maybe as a joke, ha ha

I tried the chicken because just to try it. I was actually suprised. It seemed to have a better AC and BAB than the attack dog (at least it was hit less and hit monsters more often). And it ran away when badly damaged. It didn't do much damage when it hit, though it did get a fair number of critical hits, and took out at least four skeletons on it own in Emredy Meadows. Alas, in the Moathouse, Lubash killed it with one critical hit. Next time I think I will try the rat.

    Here's a real...

...combat chicken for you. We prefer to call it a Gamecock. I've yet to see a rat that can take one of these out.

    Sometimes...

...they take bunnies with them. I hear they have to keep it alive until they really start to get hungry...then eat it. They have to make do for a number of days in the wild, and eating the rabbit on the first day makes for a lot of hungry days after.
