I cannot seem to get a starting_equipment.mes file to appear. I successfully got the description.mes file. Is the other mes file part of protos.tab? Thanks much!
Using an editor, open ToEE3.dat You will see a list of sections. Go to rules and double-click it. You will now see a list of files. Scroll down and you will see start_equipment.mes. Click for contents. That should be the file that you require. There's also a new start_equipment.mes in ToEE4.dat after you patched the game. The layout of ToEE4.dat is quite similar to ToEE3.dat. Follow the same instructions above to edit it.
thanks! I actually patched with the official patch last night, extracted the start files, edited them, they worked fine dont think i touched the file in the toe4 file. is that for the circle patch?
