I'm starting the "Modder's Version" of fan fixes V1.

It's pretty much the normal Fan Fixes version PLUS helperGuard, TOEExtractor, and the tools we're using to make edits..

This way if we want to make any more "Unit Test" type npc's, or new people come on board, we can hand over one set of files...

So, What tools are you using to Mod the game? What tools are you creating to make Modding the game easier?

I wish I had a dialogue editor.. heh...

Even if it's something that will color code the {}'s...

    Maybe like this:

    {1st} = {} bold red, "1st" text light red
{2nd}= {} bold blue, "2nd" text light blue
    etc
    etc

Each of the seven fields a different color, and the brackets in bold.

Anyone know of a text editor/viewer than I can customize like this?

It would speed my dialogue creation up a hundredfold :)

-Dhoom, I totaly agree with you there, I've been staring at .dlg files in a text editor at I think I'm going blind, I'm starting to see {} with my eyes shut. I'm using UltraEdit and it has a word list file that would allow for that but I can't make heads or tails of it. It dosn't seem like it would be that hard to create that kind of syntax highlighting.

-Nomad seems pretty good to me, been using most of the same tolls everyone else is using. Though ToEEditor looks pretty promising right now, it would elimanate(sp?) the need for the extractor. It might make sense to just dump everything in this release and as the tools become more refined we can weed out the more useless ones.
