For the ToEE module, Warmage is comparable to a Sor who took every direct damage spell. Considering I won ToEE the first time with a team of all Wizards who spammed magic missile and fireball, the specialty casters (Warmage & Beguiler) are probably more on the gimmicky side and generally less powerful than a Sor or Wiz. Note that a Beguiler is an INT-based spontaneous caster who also gets Trapfinding, which is unique for ToEE at least.
