If Prince Thrommel revives mid-battle outside the ToEE, does he also immediately leave the party? Also, how long does gentle repose last in this game?
Gentle Repose lasts forever in ToEE: it prevents decay. BUT - it must be cast on the target WHILE ALIVE. No killing anyone then thinking, 'that was a mistake...' Obviously this sucks but is a limitation of the game mechanic. (Probably fixable with Temple+ but then the never-ever-decays thing becomes an exploit, for now it balances nicely). Thrommel should run on any of the outside Temple Maps, and also if you take him to Hommlet or Verbobonc (main arrival maps). He appears happy to be revived in Nulb and skulk around the Snakepit with you. Eye-opening for him, I dare say.
