Slavers encounter. SPOILER ALERT. Found a way to avoid the "unpleasant" happening following the conversation with the slavers Queen. It is a bit metagaming but hey.... Let me tell you a story: White Lotus, the face of my party(16 Wiz/2 Rogue) (3 PCs party, no NPC, insane leveling in the drow tunnels.....) sees this group of people matching the description of the slavers. Not sure what to do, he aproaches the group for a chat, but FIRST , just in case he might need help if he's ambushed, he summons Mordekainen Sword wich he puts in the SECOND slot of the party, close to him. He pretends to loose the battle of wills then chooses as victim the Sword knowing very well that no living being actually suffers..... The rest is history
Ha-ha, that's good. Did she kill the sword, btw? Another way around any unwanted consquences is to, as Ranth pointed out recently, mash through the dialog replies. That may not work for the slaver thing specifically, but it normally works for dialog buffing.
Oh yeah, the sword was dead. Cold as ......ahem, metal :twitch: At the scrap metal yard they were very disappointed when it disappeared
