I think I had the loot bug, though I was able to get the ring off this frog once. I was unable to loot from the bandits in the moathouse, unless they just happened to not have any items. In any case, I looked into the issue and others had done all the steps of installing the Co8 mods and such except for using the wrong no-cd TOEE.exe. I then replaced my 3.4MB one with the 33kb one. I tried to load my save but it says there is an error and it cannot be loaded. Did changing the .exe corrupt my saves and if so, can I fix this? It's taken me days to get this far and I've had to scrap and restart enough times already I don't want to have to redo all the tedious first Hommlet quests. edit: I am pretty certain I'm screwed. Oh well, I guess I wasn't getting the full Co8 mod experience anyway.
That's correct - your saves are probably gone for good, but they weren't really saves of the Co8-modded game anyway, just a bugged mixture.
