If you're going to multiclass Rogue you're better off dual wielding kamas (Too bad there's no Sais). They can be enchanted to be Holy Axiomatic Firey Burst plus they can be used with Flurry of Blows.

If you're going to stick by fists though then pure Monk levels are best. You'll definitely want to bring a Druid of some kind though to make an Amulet of Mighty Fists. These can boost your unarmed damage tremendously.

At 20th level with just unarmed damage, it's the difference between five attacks at 2d10 (10-100) vs. six attacks at 2d8 with Specialization (24-108). And as Goshi points out, using crafted kamas makes the sixth attack all the more attractive.

What does a kama do, 1d4 with a crit of x2?

Yeah they're 1d4 with a x2 crit rate. Not that impressive, but the advantages with them are that they can be dual wielded, they can be used with Flurry of Blows and they can be magically enchanted. With two Holy Axiomatic Flaming Burst Kamas you'll be out damaging fists... so long as the target is Chaotic Evil (Which is pretty likely).

Did ToEE implement the kama incorrectly? The SRD says they're 1d6 crit x2.

I think it matters how the kama was made.

If it was made as a tiny weapon it does 1d3 crit x2.
If it was made as a small weapon it does 1d4 crit x2
If it was made as a medium weapon it does 1d6 crit x2

DnD wiki stating SRD on kamas via a chart.

Granted it is a wiki and can be edited by anyone, but this information has been verified if I understand the wiki's markings and such.

d20srd shows a similar chart, but just with small and medium.

    Slashing instead of piercing.

Does TOEE have it as piercing?

That's something I pretty sure can be fixed.

No, an advantage of a kufri is that it is a little slashing weapon, instead of a little piercing weapon like a dagger, or a little bludgeoning weapon, like a hammer. This is handy if you have a dual-wielding halfling. You should have weapon sets that are appropiate to the enemy you are fighting.
