Is that what's meant by dis-ARMing a dwarf? Heh heh heh, I crack myself up and yes I can be completely entertained in a room by myself.:dizzy:
Hehe I always leave the arms last, because they get in my way otherwise. He has armor to wear before it's time to arm him.
And here is the completed miniature: I cheated a bit, I added some color to the eyes by means of paint in the first and last, and I also added some glow. Looks like Underdark to me, now. .
I keep trying to focus my eyes. heh heh heh Dwarf cannae be hide'n inna tha darks ... needs be out where ye can be see'n me axe come down onna ye head! (Quote from Grannit Coldforge).
lol, you are right about the focus, 2 and 3 are quite blurry, these pics are best seen at less than 100% zoom, for reasons that should become apparent later on (not telling) . And I was under the impression that dwarves are cave dwellers mostly. My main character in all the games I play is a dwarf named Kauldron. Hm, I should have studied some dwarven lore. Great quote, btw.
Grannit Coldforege is a character I've played and am playing in numerous campaigns, (so I guess I quoted myself?). You're right, dwarfs have dark vision and can see up to 60 ft in the dark, but Grannit would never stand for hiding, he wants you to see it coming.
A preview of the second dwarf here: I placed more images and the "mentality" (ie what I intend to do with that) of this miniature on the blog.
Heh, here is the other hand, wielding a waraxe I may include a flask on his belt and perhaps a knife. Also, the feet need to be somewhat larger. I was down with the flu yesterday evening (still am, but woke up somewhat better) and couldn't concentrate.
