Okay I am now officially at my wit's end. I have been trying to implement the 8th level sor/Wiz spell Iron body. Here is the description from the SRD:

I hit upon the idea of creating a new object in the protos to give the character these properties. The item is created in the characters inventory when the spell is cast and removed when the spell ends. The damage reduction is easy enough except that ToEE seems to have no concept of adamantite (or adamantium.) Ability adjustment is easy, and immunity to poison and electricity is easy. However the other immunities are not quite so easy. Giving the object 'Monster Juggernaut' takes care of most of them but also gives the character immunity to mind affecting effects and still leaves her open to ability damage via bestow curse.

The unarmed damage thing is beyond me. I tried adding the appropriate feat name (don't remember what it was off hand) in a feat column but got a CTD when loading the game. Also the reduced movement is something I can't figure out.

Anyway, to make a long request somewhat shorter: Most of the problems I can work around by altering the spell a bit or ignoring them but I would really like to have the physical effects provided by the 'Monster Juggernaut' bonus without the mental immunities.

What I would really, really like is to know the mechanism by which these effects get applied to the character and if it is possible to script them.

@ Darmagon: I haven't looked into it very deeply personally, but certain scripting may be possible. Here's one way to work around things for you to think about: check my thread "Scripting item effects" or something like that, it gives you a hint of what standard actions you can use to add a script to an item when it's put into an inventory or removed from it (it's like san_insert_item/san_remove_item or something like that, I don't remember atm and I'm at a PC that doesn't have ToEE installed). As for adding the effect itself, I'm not sure. If you want I can send you a temple.dll string dump that will contain different predefined strings found in the game DLL (this may help finding out the console commands you may want and possibly their parameters - who knows?)
In that case, you may want to contact me by e-mail (use the address provided in the ToEEWB installation manual).

While'll we're at it, and this is the wring thread really but...
how would I make a spell that turned you into a toad or frog, now as there's druids wild shape, darly and kella's ring of change I know that it could be done, just how is the problem.

Do a 'Liv' on it...make it so that the target (if the save is failed) had done the change like it was a voluntary thing with one of these items equipped. Maybe you could select what to make it from the radial menu, but with relatively benign choices ala the animal companion menu. Or take a hint from warcraft, and make everyone sheep...or Willow, if you like...are there even pigs in this game...?

It wouldn't make sense to 'polymorph other' and have your foe now become a grizzly. I used to poly others into trout, as there was seldom a supply of water handy. Just let 'em flop a little, and then...well, you know the rest.
