Personally I wouldn't want to change crafting in any way. Like Ted, I never use it myself, but it is RAW and it does actually work like its supposed to for the most part. It's one of those things that allows you to play however you like, and some people like to roll uber.

The real fix is the available money in the game. *That* would keep crafting down, if that was to be desired. The crafting rules as written are fair, and in no way forced into one's particular game. I don't see the validity in complaints about an optional feature in the game that costs feats to do so.

If the gaming population on the whole cannot be trusted to enjoy the game how *they* wish to, we should remove options to force them to enjoy the game we wish them to, correct?

(That was my attempt to show how ridiculous limiting options is, from a moral standpoint)

It may be silly and a Deus ex machina, but really guys. If you don't like the options don't select them and don't build weapons/armor with a million enchantments. It's my personal opinion more options cater to more types of gamers, and far be it from me to tell someone not to cheat, console, over craft or power game.

That's none of my business and doesn't affect how I enjoy the game, which is however I wish to. :D

Re: Game Difficulty: Are The New Mods Making The Game Unbalanced?

I vote for the third option too. The temple needs to be freshened up/buffed up by 2 levels or roughly 20%. I didn't do Verbobonc until after the temple and I found each easier than they should have been because each attempt to be suitable for a level 10 party with the exception of the slavers quest and the war of the golden skull that I didn't do.
