You say you downloaded the files. Did you unzip them into ToEE/data/sound/speech/pcvoice? Open folder 53 in pcvoice. Are there mp3s in the folder? If not then the voice files haven't been installed.

"unzip it" - unzip what? If you unzip the voice packs into that folder they are subdivided into the numbered folders and you should be right.

Obviously you are not, so, perhaps you have the older individual voice packs? Is your pcvoice folder full of mp3s now by any chance?

And when u run the game (to make sure u have done the control files right) do u at least get the option of the new voices, even if nothing sounds when u click on them?

Keep in mind there are now 3 packs and obviously you need all 3 to get all 3 - you could install one, say the BG male pack, create a female character and u aint gonna get any new voices ;) There will be nothing in 53 unless you have used the 'custom voices' pack (which has the controversial "Arwen" voice).

Using front end, will the voice packs be accessable when I load separate mods, ie, Teds, or Livonya's? I didn't know they were available, but I would load them up if it was easy to do. I am not very computer savy.

As long as the mod doesn't add any new pc voices, i.e. a new pcvoice.mes file in the mes folder, they should still work. From experience I can tell you they do work with Ted's and Liv's mods.

As for ease of installation, if you know how to unzip a file to a specific location, they are very easy. If you don't know how to do this, then you might want to wait for the installer version that we should hopefully have up by next month.

Thanks, I'll try that. The work all of you have done here is amazing! I have been reading these posts for the last week trying to catch up on what you have done here. Hats off to you!

Should I make an "Orion's patch" toffee version? I mean I don't mind, but if no-one is going to use is it worth the effort?

You did read his "Outstanding!" post, didn't you? Seems like he doesn't want to have anything to do with Co8 anymore. Let's forget about the 0rion79-Toffee-Pack. The guy doesn't deserve it.

Despite our personal feelings about Orion, I think his latest mod could contain some items valuable to the community. Some people are already testing it, but we do need more. I think it should be made widely available.

Okay, maybe Cerulean is right, I was just being grumpy. There might be something of value in 0rion's stuff after all.

Let's leave our personal feelings out of this (and forget the fact that he behaved like a jackass). Let's all work towards the greater good! Amen.

Done - see the first post in this thread.

And Morpheus, give the guy credit where it's due, most of the stuff he fixed (note: I said FIXED not ADDED) seems worth the effort, if only he didn't go further and mess up some other stuff - let's face it we'd all be using this mod now (or at least the protos.tab). Trouble is picking it apart is almost as hard work as starting again from scratch.
