Alignment -NG with Lawful tendencies
Class- Thief in my younger days, then a fighter, now a lover not a fighter--does this all make me a Bard? Hmm pretty much. Helps that I, too, am a poet and enjoy literature.

First of all, let me say that SOMEONE- Probably Ted since he started this thread- should set some "Real Life" equivalents to the DnD stats posted here, because I think that some peeps have definitley underrated themselves! Especially in the Strength cataegory. Of course, I am using the 2nd Edition explanations for Stats.

Next- Spike is an angry young man- but I think he's cool-that being said- Monsieur Spike, I'd love to see your thoughts on your Stats, I mean, c'mon, you have posted twice here, but not revealed a thing...

ME:

STR: 14 - I, too, can bench 200 (barely) and have good stamina.
DEX: 14 - Very good hand/eye from years of Nintendo and real life shooting Nimble
also. Very good balance and Like Cujo posts later good with locks and flies.
CON: 11 - Kind of sickly (Asthma-Allergies) as a youngster, but getting healthier as I
age, haven't been sick, other than the occasional headache for about a year
now. Don't smoke.
INT: 14 - 139 on that stooopid Mensa test- TWICE (years apart)! Like Necrostopheles I
am equating IQ to INT by rounding and dropping the "0" I pick things up quick.
WIS: 10 - Me and common sense don't get along very well, it would be lower, but life
experience and religious insight get me up to normal
CHR: 13 - Very outgoing, friendly, but can be tough when needed. OK on the eyes
and I get carded all the time, though I have passed that age 15 years ago.
Shorter than average though, by only a couple inches by the worldwide
standard, 3 inches U.S.

Mister DM, I'll take these rolls, and work on them. Anyone got a spare Pearl of Wisdom?

 

here are my real life stats -
I'm human (altho it doesn't look that way in my avatar)
and I'm probably chaotic lawful (hehe a new alignment)
I guess I'd make a good bard, rogue or sorcerer :shrug:

strength 12 - I was going to rate it lower, cos 10 is average but then realsied that even tho I'm the weakest of my mates, they'd all give a raging halforc a run for his money (eg they'd have 17-20)
dex 17 - good balance, and can walk fast through a crowd, good with my hands like putting in new locks, catching flys, generally dexterous
con 15 - its better, was really sick when I was a kid (20 years ago) but thats long gone now, maybe add a -2 for smoking
int 13 - average IQ is 100, mine is 130, do the math
wis 15 - havn't done anything fucking stupid and can see when others are doing stupid shit, one of my favourite things to tell people is "what the fuck did you think was going to happen"
cha 17 - seem to have a way with people, I don't try but the bastards keep on talking to me, even telling me things they didn't want me to know (I passed that info onto the cops hehe:flamed: )

 

Okay you're not going to believe this:

Race: Human or Half elf

Let's see Character class: well Bard (I too write poetry, in fact was dead set on being a poet in my younger years until I realized I wasn't cut out for poverty and squalor, poets don't make money)

Alignment: probably Neutral Good

Str: 15 (That is if we go by the bench-press thing.) Did the entire contents of my sons weight set just 2 months ago (all metal not concrete filled) and that came to 230 lbs. I am naturally 'built' and too many years of heavy manual labour have filled in the gaps.)

Dex: 12 (This is harder to quantify but. I am good at FPS games, can type 80 wpm, do well at martial arts and fencing, and am one of the fastest in my primary job function where I work: which is Production clamp truck operator (won't get into what that is here))

Con: 9-10 (while I have good stamina and can still out run, out bike and out swim my active 12, 14 and 16 year old children) I am unusually prone to sickness and I just can't drink like I used to. (My head still hurts from friday)

Int: 14-15 (going by the IQ thing. Various tests throughout my primary education put me in various 'gifted' classes. They placed my IQ at between 126 and 154 then. I have tried many of the online tests available over the years and consistently score between 140 and 150.)

Wis: 9-10(What can I say, do stupid things sometimes. While I can usually hold my temper, when it goes it is gone, I still smoke even though I know it not good for me. I waste money stupidly... you get the point.)

Cha: 11-12 (Slightly above average looks (there is a story that happened about a year ago...but I won't get into it here). Pleasant demeanor that helps me get along with most anyone. But I simply don't have the force of personality to get any higher than this)

BTW, I'm glad you're good with "flies." Helps to keep one from pissing all over one's self.

But Spike IS the only major contributer that I know of that hasn't posted his stats here. On the other boards, well, if I seem to address Spike in responses, it is usually because he and I disagree on some things. But I try to keep it respectful, and didn't meen to offend anyone. Hey, wait a minute- I chip in every once in a while about your bestial nature, and Ted's frog-licking and cookie making. A little fun-no harm intended. I didn't think I was targeting Spike, but perhaps I was posting more in his direction. But in my defense, I didn't even start the call for his Stats on this thread, I just picked up the call.

Hmm...well one thing I am is Canadian, and damned proud of it too. And I have to wonder why you make such a point out of the fact that you are not one? I am also not French (Canadienne or Parissiene) but must still wonder why the point is made?

I can make a good guess but will not endeavor to do so here.

Perhaps you could PM me and we could let the venting begin..

No need for PM's; I can explain well enough here, since it was brought up here.

I was addressed in some sort of language that resembled French. Therefore, I attempted to clarify my national origin (as if it were ever really in doubt) by way of response. I began with Canada because it's closer; ended with France 'cause, well...it's the origin of said language. I saw no need to mention other lands where French may be spoken, because they were not likely to be the place he was making a joke about one of us (him or me) being from. I said nothing about disliking either French, Canadian, or French/Canadian people. I'm glad you didn't make a guess, because I think it may have been mistaken. I generally like Canadians, and don't really dislike the French. I just don't know any French folks personally, so how can I really say? I'll admit to not liking some of their politics, but I don't like some of ours either, so there you are.

But I am proudly American; and I believe that persons from everywhere who come to this forum are allowed to say they are proud to be from wherever they are living; or from, if living someplace else. Whatever the case may be. And while we're speaking of it, I've got nothing against Germans since I used the word "Herr". Is "pollo" Italian? You'll have to ask maalri about that, since he brought it up.

I see, however, that my bull's eye is still intact...or is it that I didn't use enough smilies?
