I pulled up an old save to see what AC buffs work with wildshape and these would work for a naked monk too ... just fyi: +4 mage armor (mage or wand/scroll) +2-5 barkskin (druid) - stacks with natural armor +2-5 shield of faith (cleric cast or wand) +4 shield (wand, brooch of shielding) +x monk wisdom +2 cat's grace (wizard, wand) +? Widlshape natural armor +? size adjustment +? wildshape dex. ________________ +14 ->? So you can get quite a bit of AC from this. And also some UMD can be useful for a few wands of spells that are self-only. The Dc is 20 which means that even 1 point of UMD could work with enough tries for a long-duration spell. Ofc anything in personal inventory must be cast before wildshape.
Oh thanks. I ended up using Longshore because war domain gave me the feat for free. But I'll try the Dwarven war axe
I almost exclusively never do the FedEx quests. I just either level my party to level 2 or do welkwood bog depending on my mood. Right now I have a plus 2 Longshore anyways. I'll enchant it with Holy soon
@OLLY613: Assuming that you are running Temple+, Prestige classing from Rogue to Assassin as soon as you can gives you access to Greater Invisibility. After a certain point you get to cast it as a 4th level spell, but from the moment you have a level of Assassin it's on your spell list so you can cast it without risk of failure from a scroll (Burne's assistant usually has it for sale iirc) or from a wand. From memory, you can hit the skill requirements with a level 5 rogue, so level 6 can be Assassin 1. Iirc you gain extra Sneak attack dice a level earlier, but lag by one on BAB progression so extra attacks come a level later. Officially there is a requirement to be Evil to be an Assassin, but that's fairly nonsensical when Clerics of Heironyus can accept commissions to murder, and Druids are calling down flamstrokes and lightning on bears and wolves they encounter in the wild, and T+ gives the option of bypassing this.
