Not so much Cures, as Hold Person scrolls and such - many of the bandits, orcs etc you encounter have surprisingly high wisdom bonuses Thanks @Zalmoxes I'll keep checking out that area and see if there is more - I mean, there is always more to do, but I feel I have done the quest-relevant 'stop the war' part.
Makes sense. I got stuck because I wasn't as prepared for the mod. Definitely some hard encounters so I regrouped. Replayed some c08 toee for a bit to prepare and am going to remake a party for pc again soon
Yeah, they're tough fights all right. Ok, 'At a Crossroads' was on me - I was too lazy to walk all around the map and just trusted a random teleport to map 5001 to get me back - only time I did it, and it worked, but it turned out I needed to leave properly to finish the quest. Heh. Now I have to find that damn cat. "Chapter 1 finishes when you do these 3 quests - oh, and these 15 over here".
Did you find the clump of cat hair? It's in the Cove If you talk to gypsy lady she tell you the cat is in deep dark wet place or something like that and she assumes it's a ship or something. However, there are other deep dark and wet places than ships Spoiler Once you find the hair you're nearly done. Just need to lure the cat. Have you noticed all those fish lying in barrels ? Just sayin....
No probs Guys, did anybody talked to the old couple in the vineyard ( after finding the grapes book, of course... ) ? And if so, do you think what I'm thinking by the way of who they might be? Also, I absolutely loved the statue found in the underbelly of the stronghold!
Yes I had already found the hair, and was foolishly trying to use Track in the vicinity. I like how you think Zalmoxes, and if that is the answer, it is a very good answer indeed. I'll try it.
Guys, it pays the pain of clearing the room with the stone guardians... Be prepared for a very welcome surprise! ( and a few cameos... ) once you go the Beyond
BTW of said stone statue, after you reverse his stone status, I wonder if you can have him join your party then go and talk to the old couple... hmm.. I stupidly don't have an older save so I can't go back to it, but I really really wonder
I really on my next playthrough need to keep a few saves going at one time. Also, so many interesting things to find in the stronghold!
The most interesting thing I have found so far is the moment I wished for a Holy Hand Grenade. This mod truly is brilliant.
Holy Hand Grenade = Holy Smite at mid levels or Holy Word at higher Can never have enough of them in repertoire... As soon as I can I always take Craft Wand for my Cleric just for the Holy Smite... ( which can also be used by a rogue with high umd... )
Thanks, this is the kind of feedback I'm looking for. I'll change it to keep their Guildmaster title in their pop-ups, and keep their real name as a secondary reference. Perhaps I can combine them, but that would be a lot of words.
The Crossroads quest ends when you exit though the blue door that you came in through when the quest started. That's it. You could actually enter the door and immediately leave 3 seconds later if you want, and the quest will be completed. It's only a question of how much you will involve yourself in the drama, and if you will stop the battle or prefer one faction to have victory. Perhaps I should add a little slide, or quick Dungeon Master dialog at the start to clarify this. Regarding Lucern, right now he is just one of the several NPC's that can get you off to that quest, in generic fashion. I'll add some flavor text in his dialog about it during and also after the quest, based on how it turns out. He should probably also complain (and eventually run off) if you start stirring up trouble. Lots to do with this. Also, I know I need to add some more world-building in regards to the two kingdoms involved, to make a player really care at all which side might win. Some nice/helpful NPC's that hail from one of the two kingdoms, and also some other background that pops up, especially during the quest itself. Again, we're still in the beta stage here, and listening to the comments.
