Newbie questions... and congrats!

Hi people!

First of all, sorry (tipical for a newbie) if this is in the wrong place, but i'm not very fond of forums (and my english sounds like Tarzan), so i don't know well where to post this: " silly newbie questions" like Cujo said !XD

I've played ToEE 3.something version, when finally this morning found here the 5.0.0 with patch 1 and 2, so i hit madly "download" and followed the instructions carefully to install (thanks! very clearly explained!)...but now i don't know how to open or enable the cheats! (in my older version, only worked the "normal" items, not cloak of arachnida or the winter boots, so i've been drooling thinking on those items). I suppose that te old code " -console" no longer runs? Or there is somthing i'm missing?

By the way, i'm AMAZED at what you've done...that kid with the "secrets of existence" make me laugh like a Gnoll! Now the game looks complete, and i'm sure i'm going to enjoy it more! Thanks really guys, you're awesome!

And, some more really-silly newbie questions:

-Is there a way to make firearms or bombs( i don't meanr uzis o C4)? Or alchemist fire o acid flasks? A gnome with those items would be great!
-Again-is there a way to change the colors of clothes, boots, armors, etc?

There is holy water, we even have tanglefoot bags (not yet in ToEE),
so I guess it is possible to create such items and even add them to...
let's say brew potion list. If I were you I would install the latest patch
5.0.3, or 5.0.4 (came out just today). Those fix many bugs of the 5.0.0
version of the mod. However after installing those you'll have to start
the game from scratch.

-Clothes: you can, but you have to change their textures and put them
into shops. Perhaps new cloaks and robes will come out soon.

 

Great! I love cloaks and robes...
but it's too much for me to try to make some mod...me and my pc...i'm like a kobold trying to make a staff of magi work:

No, thanks, modding is for the ones who knows: you (i can barely install the 5.0.0 pack XD)...if you need more portraits, tellme (i´m Dm of Forgotten Realms, and always make the designs of my Pc's)

Oh! And i had a strange but IRRITATING bug..having Zaxis and Serena on my party, they left with the elves who rewards you for rescuin Tillahi and Sir Justin, leaving the circles (i can even "speak" with them, as if they where invisible, but they do not attack, nor die nor leave the party!)

 

Tell ya what. The game is easy enough without cheats. Trust me.
Well, you can find a list of console commands on the board but that's
the only hint I'll give you.

I have downloaded tons of codes (so many numbers!), even the tutorial for WB posted by Morpheus, but the problem is that i can't OPEN the console (the grey half-screen right?), doesn't seem to work...the thing " -console" is suposed to work? O is another code?

C'mon, don't be mean, you can use mods whenever you want, but for the troglodites like me, the console and the codes is our only chance of experiment whit those wonderful items!

In spanish keyboards it's ussually the º symbol; I believe that in almost every keyboard it's the key located to the left of the 1 (in the alphanumeric portion) and north of the Tab.

Thanks, a lot guys, really! I know i've been testing (hardly!) your patience with my stupid questions, but after reading lots and lots of threads, i wasn't able to find the solution of the console "mistery"!

I used to put the command " -console" a the end of the ToEE.exe file, on the shortcut on the desktop, and press shift + ° (° on my version of keyboard) to open it, but now it doesn't seems to work, and i got the 1 and 2 patches installed (and the 5.0.0 version)

I had beaten the original game two or three times, and two or more times with the cheats, but i was hoping to see the new items you've created...sigh, i'm beggining to give up...

Many of the new items are available in the shops. Later
today I'll be posting a little something (new cloaks and
robes and will add some armours in shops, though you'll
have to look around a little to find those). The update won't
require starting a new game.

HINT: There's a new shop in Nulb added by Co8, you'll find
many new items there.

 

Spike, how big a deal was that "dingo ate my baby" thing? I mean it made headlines here, and you know how insular the US is; whole countries could explode and we might not notice.
