Well in the installation.txt file she listed a couple of switches -maxlevel 10 for one and a ] at the end of the path statement for the other. So I just want to know which one should be there.
Like lord_graywolfe said: The level cap has been removed already. The -maxlevel switch is for those people who want to play with a level cap. If you add "-maxlevel 10", the level cap will be the same as in the original game - 10 levels max.
Ok I am a goober. I just went back and looked at the text again and the ] was not what I thought. She used it to box in the note. Sorry guys.
Well, she doesn't. But she thought you had to use the maxlevel switch to remove the level cap when it actually does the opposite.
Yeah I was reading stuff wrong. But I think I may have done something wrong because in Emiridy meadows I don't have a map. Doh!!!
I only play with the level cap. I don't think TOEE Was designed to go over level 10 and it was not balanced for level 11+ characters. In my opinion going over level 10 is just making the game easier and easier. And as you know I hate anything that makes the game less strategic and easy. That's just me. I want a challenge and I don't see any challenge in playing TOEE with characters that are more powerful than level 10. That feels like cheating to me, and I don't like to cheat myself. I simply get no satisfaction out of cheating. Again, this is just personal preference. People will do what they want, which is why I provided the info to set it however you want. - Livonya
