That looks like it could be some kind of giant battle axe of a Fire Giant or Frost Giant. Or, maybe some kind of very large halberd, not that a halberd is small to begin with.

looks fucking sweet altho seems a bit big - the head of the axe is sposed to be bout 9" (250mm)... my guess would be 2/3 the size you've made it.

and this might also be me being picky but I think the handle could be a bit shorter (just to make it look one or two handed instead of "how the hell do they pull off using that one handed" sort of thing).

    here's something that might help...

Yeah it may be a bit overscale. I certainly wasn't thinking of it as a one hander when I made it, although it iis described that way. I did already shorten the handle abit proportionately to the head, but the whole thing is a bit over scale. I kind of lost sight of the fact that it was only supposed to be 51" overall when I was scaling it down. I'll take it down a bit more.

P.S. I like the shirt. The only watering holes here are named "The Bar" and "The Pub" in a stunning display of creative thinking. I actualy got tossed out of The Pub once at 10:30 so the barmaid could close up early and go to "The Bar" :suprised:

Actually, it should do 1d10, just like the war axe. Otherwise it's unbalanced.

Gotcha. I sometimes lose perspective on stuff I'm working on (such as not noticing the size doesn't match the description I'm basing it on). I'll drop the damage after work when I'm reducing the size. Is it the advantage of being able to use it 1 handed coupled with the 1d12 that's the issue?

I actualy LOOKED at it this morning and your dead right. I must have scaled down handle, exported and not noticed when it scaled back up. I'll reduce the length again.

Yup. 1d12/2d6 is limited to two-handed weapons in the rules. Best you can get out of a one-handed weapon is 1d8, or 1d10 in the case of the bastard sword, war axe or maul, but it costs you a feat to do it.

I think that pic of Cujo needs to get modded into KotB. Makes a right rogueish looking fellow. Bit of a mercenary of sorts, to go along with Allyx the Guard & his infamous coif.

Oh, yeah...we call that a brush axe here in the States. No way to wield them one handed, feat or no.

Ok here is the rescaled axe. Doesn't seem quite so laughable to attempt 1 handed wielding now. :) Assuming the PC is 6' it's pretty much bang on the right size.

This is probably old news, I'm almost sure I read something about it before, but I couldn't find it in a search. Dwarven War Axe seems to be broken. You can wield it properly 1 handed with the right EWP, and you wield it 2 handed with just MWP, but you suffer the -4 Not Proficient penalty.

@Spellslinger: Is there any chance of adding this to your task of dll wizardry to perform?

Thanks. I returned the stats to standard Dwarven War Axe.

Yeah, that would be bloody awesome. Perhaps something along the lines of; leave the head, hands and axe haft untouched but remove the background add some chainlink texture over the clothes and a new axe head.

I was thinking we probably don't need a bunch of new weapons in the game, just leads to a bunch more work putting them somewhere a player can access them. Feel free to disagree with me here just thinking out loud.

So I was wondering are there any weapons already in the game that have lousy/wrong models, or special weapons that could use a different look. Opinions please! Since I'm talking about replacing rather than adding models, obviously we'd need a heavy majority in favour for it to happen.

Of course if you think 5.0 is already good weapon wise that's cool to. I'll be dreaming up nasty weapons that Orcs might like in the meantime.:chainsaw:

I say replace some of the rusty crap. It's not really all that necessary. If a guy was a brigand and all he had was a sword & some leather armor, he'd be stupid not to get (or keep) the rust off of his blade. It's all he has, and his life & livelihood depend on it. Stuff just left lying around, on the other hand, would more likely be that way. You can replace weapons found in boxes, barrels, crates & racks with the new ones, too. Explains why they're not being used, more or less...they are unusual.
