new spells

    no, teleport is a conjuration spell...see phb page 292. transmutation changes something into something else, which your heart to hand spell doesnt do....wait or is that alteration,aww crap this is confusing,but teleport is a conjuration spell

    DnD Core (3.0) PHB p.264 lists Teleport as "Transmutation." -- this book was handier when I looked it up earlier. You are correct in that DnD 3.5 changed this to Conjuration (at the page you cited). When I invented the spell, AD&D 2E was current, where Teleport is Alteration (2E uses this term instead of Transmutation). AD&D 1E also lists Teleport as Alteration. I haven't seen 4E, so I can't comment.

    I'm not sure I concur with the 3.5 change rationale (it's rather arbitrary so I suspect it's a game balance thing). and it's my spell, so I'll keep historical accuracy and Teleport Heart to Hand remains Transmutation.
