    Hmmm...

    Ok check this:

Program Files\Atari\Temple of Elemental Evil\data\mes\pcvoice.mes should have at least 53 entries.

Ditto Program Files\Atari\Temple of Elemental Evil\data\rules\pcvoice.mes

The folder Program Files\Atari\Temple of Elemental Evil\data\mes\pcvoice should have at least 32 files in it.

    That's your control stuff.

The voices themselves - the mp3's - go in the numbered folders in

    Program Files\Atari\Temple of Elemental Evil\data\sound\Speech\pcvoice

This should have folders numbered up to at least 53.

Inside is whatever voices u have put in them. The voices of course have to be downloaded seperately and stuck in the numbered folders, except for the BG2 packs which can be downloaded as packs and simply pointed at this folder (Program Files\Atari\Temple of Elemental Evil\data\sound\Speech\pcvoice) and unzipped, and they will go in the numbered folders themselves.

If anything is anywhere else, then there's your problem. If they are all there but nothing is working, get back to me.

Note that ALL the voice names will appear on the initial screen (because there is only one set of control files), but only the voices u have seperately downloaded will sound. To get them all to work, naturally you have to download them all.

    No Music Arwen, Darley, Scorp

    1) The no music Undomiel / Arwen voice needs to go in Folder 53 to work (not doccumented in readme file, but easy to figure out if you have the old one). Her "Tell me what you have seen" line is off, but it's a big improvement.

    2) The Darley and Scorpp PC voices are working fine. Thanks for adding them. :)

bingo...got it...and minsc returns with his furry little space friend!

anyways just fyi, my problem was that the directory was created under sound\pcvoice, i had to manually create the speech folder and move this folder inside of it. my copy of control_files.zip apparently has the incorrect file structure. you might check it out with the latest one here.

Sneaky dwarf goes in folder 45, sorry bout that - and thanks for picking up the other point Old Book.

Upstart, thanks for your feedback, i will look into that.

Edit: spot on Upstart, i fixed that. Funny it got this far unnoticed - everyone else must have uploaded the first bunch, then just stuck the BG2 ones in... weird...

Sorry, thought it was my mistake. I did the BG voices first, then moved everything over.

Must work on my bug reporting skillz. ;)

    Ted, your a genius.

This really makes a difference. I vote for this to be included in the co8 future patch (along with Liv's brilliance).

I'm happy to do it, except for the size involved.

I still know people who use dial-up - I was one of those people, up until recently!

There you go. One good reason not to burden Co8 4.0.0 with 46-odd megs of .mp3s.

    I forgive you, I don't use them myself :p I'm a "few characters, many NPC's" player atm.
