    Does Otis still leave you for good if you leave the Temple twice?

    What alignment is Ronald? I don't know much about this new NPC

    Thanks.

    Idk. If I had to guess, I'd say he is LG or LN seeing as he is a cleric of St. Cuthbert.

    Yes, Otis does however if you never return to Nulb when he joins you the 2nd time he won't leave you.

    I'm pretty well done my party layout for this adventure, other choices are going to be selected for 2nd adventure.

    Fighter - Human
    (power attack and combat expertise)

    Monk - Half Orc
    (combatant- needs to be tough, wisdom important)
    (ALL above 12, three 16 or better is good for monk)

    Diviner - Human
    (feats: point blank shot or dodge and spell penetration and improved spell penetration.)
    Specialise: Divination only loses on Necromancy school.

    Cleric - elf - War and Protect domains/chaotic good

    Rogue/Ranger - Half elf

    I'm thinking of adding a class into the monk though.

    My second party is going to have a Half Elf male bard and marry Melany :pelvicthr
    and have a barbarian/rogue with spiked chain and possibily a half orc cleric.

    It was mentioned that dwarfs are good clerics but limited movement rate, what if I countered that with a couple levels of barbarian? Would that help?

    I dunno, I find cleave more useful that combat expertise, asp. at lower levels. It's up to you though. I never take combat expertise for my fighters unless I'm looking to get Whirlwind attack.

    Going to be tough to roll. Good luck with it. Note that monks will be generally useless against high-level outsiders (hint, hint)

    I might be wrong, but why would a diviner need improved spell penetration? I'd rather take school concentration feats.

    Beware of low HP (low constitution) and the fact that you will be unable to craft holy or axiomatic weapons due to domain.

    Just wondering - ranged or double-wielding. If you're going for a bow user, I'd rather suggest a pure elf. Plus, elves get +2 DEX on creation...

    I have not found monks to double-class well... Maybe just me. A double-class with cleric or fighter might work though.

    .............

    Well I made all my characters now, I don't know what domain helps create holy weapons and there doesn't seem to be a holy domain so is is LAW or GOOD domain?

    I can remake the cleric I just am not sure what god and domains.

    To craft holy weapons you need Holy Smite ==> Good domain
    --//-- Anarchic ==> Chaos domain
    Axiomatic ==> Law domain
    Unholy ==> Evil domain

    The plant domain is actually fun too, it lets the cleric rebuke plants ^__^

    Hmm, the War domain is good if you want to make the cleric into a good fighter. I personally never found Protect that useful.

    I can kind of understand Diviner with spell penetration... I guess depends on what you want to make out of that mage.

    Monks are cool because of Stunning Fist and lots of attacks per round, the payoff is the low damage against heavily armoured opponents.

    I thought you said this was your second game, nvm... If it's your first I won't spoil anything for you, and it's technically hard to screw up your party too bad. You should've seen the party I beat vanilla TOEE with when it just came out =))) It was the first cRPG I've played lol.

    Bottomline- it's all personal preference, keep exploring =) I'd also suggest you play the vanilla TOEE first (with the Co8 patches of course, unless you like torture) before you touch the modpack to truly appreciate the improvement done by the modders.

    I think Monks go well with practically any class. I like Cleric/Monks and Sorceror/Monks personally. I did do well with a Monk/Rogue but I prefer Fighter/Rogues or pure Rogues. Opportunist is such a fun feat to have.

    Well I haven't beaten the game but I've been very close and playing for a whole off and on.

    I got it not too long after it came out. I didn't know anything about Greyhawk, and that it was the first dungeons and dungeons world but what I read and saw on the back appealed to me.

    I got near to the end but I lost my game when my computer was stolen. My party was a based as close as I could get to some of the dungeons and dragons characters for me and my friends had role played over the years. A human fighter, dwarf barbarian, human cleric (was druid but in game felt cleric would be better), elf wizard (that couldn't hit with a bow to save her life), and a thief. Later it was revised, but I always had some computer problem or lost a vital item, hard ware problem or got too distracted with something.
    This time I'm going straight to the end. I'm curious about trying a lawful evil party to and seeing how that ends.

    May I recommend not starting DH until both of them are in the party :)

    You think I need them both? What about Ernie? :)

    I have a couple questions before I run to work.

    I was thinking to of a sixth party member, using the adjustment in the beta. My 6th would be the half elf bard that Half Knight suggested. This might help me be more rounded plus when I make my own party on the 2nd play through I can come in on a clean slate and make my own knowing then how good the monk and bard is to my playing style.

    I wanted to know about each domain. Plant, War, Law, Good and the other ones and what they all bring to the table so I know what will be best for my playing style. Thanks!

    What are the benifits of taking a level or two of fighter when your a barbarian and what race is considered the best for a barbarain? Should barbarian duel to a druid or other class?

    Elmo is the drunk but I hear you can get him sober. :) Can I kno wwhy you suggested them to be added as npc's to my party? thanks TED!

    OMG!! That never occurred to me!! It makes perfect sense! I've played through DH several times and LOVED it. Good thing I'm just about to finish up my old game and start a new one! :thumbsup:

    DH is the story of their family - you get the most out of it by having them in the party. its not strictly necessary to have them ;)
    Yup :yes: It doesn't add that much: but if you like DH, thats how you get the full experience.

    BTW, when do you figure DH will be ready for 5.5?
