Is ToEE development all Python scripting? I just came off a huge Python project here at work so that looks familiar!

Yeah, the original game was famous for its ability to let you climb ropes out of the Earth Node :p

The map has been re-used, yars, but the layout is different, as is the colour scheme: not different enough to fool you folks, apparently, but did you really want it in bright pink or lurid green? ;)

I thought that "It's da earf node!" went without saying. All KotB is is reusing what exists to create a new adventure, right? We all know some things just can't be created fresh with the tools at the disposal of the modders. Why waste time trying when old stuff does just fine for simpler applications? It's a friggin' hole in the dirt, after all!

Well here's some original stuff for you folks: a montage of Cujo's new weapons (all the icons, and all but the butterfly sword being modeled - that looks particularly good but some of my screenshots don't seem to have been capturing lately).

    Not shown: dead wolk.

    actually they're all new models

for some strange reason the naginata is animating wrong, Cuchulainn might be able to figure out whats wrong, and it could also get scaled in the protos to about 15% smaller

What I meant was there were pix of all the new weapons being modeled by an in-game character, except the butterfly sword: i had someone using those for TWF and in combat stance, looked great, but for some reason there was no pic in the folder when I went to get it.

I will resize the naginata (isn't that some sort of snake-creature? :p ) then post pix here.

    Shining one:

Naginata is a pole weapon that was traditionally used in Japan by members of the samurai class. It has become associated with women and in modern Japan it is studied by women more than men; whereas in Europe and Australia naginata is practiced predominantly (but not exclusively) by men. A naginata consists of a wood shaft with a curved blade on the end; it is similar to the European glaive. Usually it also had a sword-like guard (tsuba) between the blade and shaft.

The martial art of wielding the naginata is called naginata-jutsu. Most naginata practice today is in a modernised form, a gendai budo called Atarashii naginata, in which competitions also are held. Use of the naginata is also taught within the Bujinkan and in some koryu schools. Naginata practitioners may wear a modified form of the protective armour worn by kendo practitioners, known as bogu.

You probably knew this, but I just like to use Wikepedia.........:)
    btw.....the new weapons look great!

they were a girls weapon cos they had reach so she could stand back and cut his fucking head off without getting cut back. They were most famous for being a Sohei's weapon.
