Rodents of Unusual Size? I dont think they exist.

Thank you Mellonril for taking up the mantel of module development. I try other games but always come back to C08 TOEE. Its most like PnP back in the day.

I'll happily betatest whatever you're doing.

    Hi everyone!
I’m back to modding ToEE and decided it was time to learn something new.
After reviewing my previous work, I’ve chosen to branch off from the original module “A Dark and Stormy Knight” to create something that lets me experiment with new ideas.

I’m currently reworking all the rooms in the Tomb map and adding more content along the way.
Here' some work in progress screenshots from blender map Tomb - main floor:

I’ve started studying how dialogue files work and have been experimenting with adding an NPC AI follower through them.

You mean on the technical side?

I’m rendering the 2D background as a single BMP image, which I then split into JPEG tiles using ToEEWorldBuilder for use in-game.

The map visuals are created in Blender (version 4.2) in 3D and rendered with the real-time EEVEE engine.
The scene is essentially a kitbash of various models and textures — I don’t worry too much about polygon count or texture size since everything is ultimately rendered into a 2D final image.

The isometric camera setup was done a while ago, and honestly, I don’t really remember exactly how it works anymore, haha. I think it was an addon for Blender.
I’m also not entirely sure that Blender’s isometric camera matches perfectly with the one used in ToEE — some visibility issues seem to suggest otherwise. I’ll need to revisit and fine-tune it when I have some time.

Blender is incredibly helpful in many ways, and working in 3D allows me to reuse the geometry for in-game 3D clipping.
Many thanks to Aleist3r for his Blender addon for importing and exporting DAG geometries: Aleist3r’s Modding Utils.
