I haven't heard it yet but there's a video of one of the tracks on youtube already. Also, as of today, I found out what happened to an old band I love called Fastway. The lead singer, Dave King, after Fastway broke up, formed a celtic metal band named Flogging Molly and has since recorded like 6 or 7 albums. I was watching some of their videos on youtube and I must say that I like metal with a traditional irish twist. I'm going to be looking to buy all of their albums. This would have been right up my alley during my drinking days, lol.
One of the best concept albums ever. Roger Glover, Ronnie James Dio and others collaborated to make this one seriously great album. I particularly love the video of Love Is All with Dio singing. I used to watch this all the time as a kid in the 70's during saturday morning cartoons. Now, when I want to steer my thoughts away from ending all human life on the planet as painfully and lingering as possible, I throw the disc in and go off to a happier time. A time where everybody wasn't out to hurt you as much as possible for little or no reason at all. One of my dreams would be to turn this into a children's musical, showing them that there's things in the world that aren't all about criminally insane serial killer mechanical engineers (all the SAW movies) and music about BDSM/GLBT and genital mutilation (The Genitorturers). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oADfmYQWmW8 Love Is All (Dio) Everybody's got to live together All the people got to understand So, love your neighbour Like you love your brother Come on and join the band Well, all you need is love and understanding Ring the bell and let the people know We're so happy and we're celebratin' Come on and let your feelings show Love is all, well love is all, Love is all, can't you hear the call Oh, love is all you need Love is all you need at the Butterfly Ball Ain't you happy that we're all together At the ball in nature's countryside And although we're wearing different faces Nobody wants to hide Love is all and all is love and It's easy, yes it's so easy At the Butterfly Ball where love is all And it's so easy All you need is love and understanding Hey, ring the bell and let the people know We're so happy and we're celebratin' Let your feelings show Love is all, yes love is all at the Butterfly Ball Love is big, love is small Love is free, love is all At the Butterfly Ball When you back's to the wall When you're starting to fall You got something to lean on Love is everything It can make you sing at the Butterfly Ball Love is all, I say love is all, yes love is all At the Butterfly Ball Original Album 1. Forgive me. I don't know why this happening now after a really really long time but I seem to be in the middle of a WoW relapse... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YRgNOyCnbqg&NR=1
I haven't seen anything about this in the thread and I definitely feel it needs to be said. Everyone likes the music that they like and that's cool, but I think we take for granted the ones who really made music what it is and have contributed more than just about every other artist combined. For me, there is one that stands out above them all. One that was perfection in every sense of the word. Great musician, even better person, I sorely miss him but am grateful for what he did give to us...

To the most heroic and outstanding aussie in the history of aussies, we salute you. For 37+ years, he's been the lead guitar player in the world and hasn't changed his style of playing or music and they are still on top of the pack musically. Ain't no one better...
