Has anyone tricked out the masterwork light crossbow given to you by completing a certain mission in Hommlett? i received it and gave it to my wizard then used a feat for exotic wpn proficiency expecting him to be able to fire multiple bolts a round in combat. i have not figured out how to do that yet if there is such a way. just wondering if anyone done work with the repeating crossbows in game.
The repeating crossbow allows 1 shot per round for each attack allowed by BAB (i.e. 1 shot/round at BAB 0 to +5). Your wizard needs to take point blank shot and rapid shot or wait to level 12 (BAB +6) to get a second shot/round out of his/her repeating crossbow.
Yeah, I tried Spoiler Iolo's Joy or whatever it's called and was very disappointed. My cleric got no extra shots from using it. If you are going to spend the slot, give him a tricked out longbow instead.
