Hehe, I was really thinking about the whip, but is it really possible and um is there a point making one? There are no "disarm" options in ToEE and whips have lousy damage + cause attacks of opportunity. And is it even possible to make a character drop its whip when it fails a trip attack?
yeah actually on that note, a whip is useless in toee, almost all of its +ve's can't be done and with all its -ve's you might as well just try punching the guy.
The sai could be added if Cuch feels like making a model for it, the nunchuk would need a new animation though so is un-modable at the moment.
The Arms and Equipment Guide also adds butterfly swords, war fans, tonfas, and tiger claws to the monks weapon list. I personally think that a tonfa (like a police batton for anyone who doesn't know) would be a better and easier to make (cos they won't need a new animation) replacement for the nunchuku. my current plans are {29}{Exotic Weapon Proficiency (Halfling Kama)} - butterfly sword {31}{Exotic Weapon Proficiency (Halfling Nunchaku)} - war fan {34}{Exotic Weapon Proficiency (Nunchaku)} - tonfa? and then {41}{Exotic Weapon Proficiency (Dire Flail)} - Crescent-Moon Spade (a real double weapon ) {42}{Exotic Weapon Proficiency (Two-bladed Sword)} Nine-Pronged Rake
Right on! And speaking of double weapons. I thought I've seen everything (by that I mean the flail-o-sword) but a double bow is really ridiculous (also present in the arms and equipment guide).
So you'd do tonfa off the short-sword model? I can well see that stabbing motion morfing into a policeman putting his stick into someone's solar plexus. Nice try, but if your Monk is named 'Tripitaka' he's a non-combatant
This may not really be the right place to post this; but are the current implementations of the halberd/trident not working right at the moment? Halberd seems to be working as a 2h reach weapon, when its just meant to be 2h, and trident is working as a 2h reach weapon, when its not meant to be reach, and not meant to be 2h sorry, its probably posted elsewhere... was just wondering
You're right! Well, it'll have to be fixed. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Oooh... and I'm not sure either if this should go to Co8 bugs or Atari issues... Were Tridents present in vanilla ToEE?
If the trident is so different, what is the difference between that and the military fork? I recently gave them their own feats, but that shouldn't have introduced those bugs - but they are fixable.
