Good Afternoon Co8 et al - I seem to have misplaced my extraplanar chest at merchants row location #5179. I cannot seem to find it in any of the shops, would someone out there please tell me which config file I need to examine to track down this location number? If its a binary file of some type please let me know that as well. Thank you for your time - TomthenowbrokeasashantytownbeggerFighter
I believe 5179 is the row that runs directly opposite the Spruce Goose. You'll probably have to check each of the individual shops, as they share a single map.
Thank you gentlemen for the generous application of your most beneficent wisdom. I shall sally forth to said goose of wood, which I've heard from a knight of some renown, weighs as much as a ... Thanks for your time guys - appreciate it - Tomthenowhopefulfighter
Well that was interesting. Looked all over couldn't find the chest. However. I did find the "gem encrusted throne" in one of the shops. Reloaded from a previous save while party was still in the temple. Opened the extra planar chest & everything looked normal, until I closed it! When I closed the chest a gem encrusted throne appeared! Opened the chest again, closed it, and a second throne appeared! Very curious. Left temple and went to the jeweler in homlet and sold the gem hoard. While still in jeweler's shop I tried to open the extra planer chest and got the lost chest message - which indicated that it was left in the jeweler's shop! No chest was present! So somehow the chest got corrupted & the complete loss of the chest was triggered by selling the gem hoard. Version info - NC 8.0.1 Win7-32 Is this bug worth you time to investigate further? If so, please let me know what I can do to help! If not - that's fine too - y'all have done a hell of job I really appreciate Co8's hard work! TomthenowconfusedandplanarchestlessFighter
It's a known bug about putting the gem hoard in the chest. Myself, I try to only put mundane objects in it. By any chance have you read the note that comes in the chest?
Good Evening Sir Knight- > Have you read the note that comes in the chest? Ohh about a year ago or so I suppose.... The accuracy of my recall seems to be inversely proportional to my age ( And strangely, there seems to be a correlation to the quantity of alcohol consumed ... I think that hypothesis requires additional testing however. ) Thanks for the follow-up ! TomtheapparentlymoreforgetfullthanoriginallybelievedFighter* *Odd - the editor doesn't show that extra space?
Myself I suffer from CRS quite often. And for the record, the grey hairs are certainly winning the war of attrition currently being waged on my scalp.
