anyone know what the number of the quests are so i can go into the console and set teh jayfie quest as completed? so i can move on with the other quests they give? Thanks, John
Anyone know a command to remove something from your inventory - something you can't drop via normal means? (celtic tattoo's - what was I thinking )
any update on adding/removing feats via the console? and could someone summarize what the "protos" is and how i should edit it, if i want to add/remove feats using that route? (post #60 makes reference to this with no details)
Feats can be changed in the protos section using the protoeditor, but it's trickey. There is a max of 10 feats in the protos file but if you exceed the # for the npc's level, it wont work. Never leave a protos slot blank and the typo must be exact. Protos only covers npc's, not pc's. So, at level up you picked a feat that doesn't work for your pc then you're stuck with it. Once you're finished with level up you're stuck with it. Protos editing is really shakey and may not work and your game may crash or not even load. Use at your own risk.
Re: changing pc saved game portriat I managed to add some new portraits and now I'd like to update my savegame so that my existing characters would have the new portraits into use. I tried that game.leader.obj... console command, but it didn't do anything. Is there perhaps some other way to change the portraits? Don't want to go replacing any existing portraits though, like Half Knight suggested. What is the "Glenn system" that he mentions in his reply? EDIT: Nevermind, got it working. Noticed that there should NOT be 0 if my portrait number is like 0800, then I must put it as 800.
Is there a command to adjust character height? I found "obj_f_critter_height" from Ted's RPG Rant. That should do the trick like with portrait? What are the values I set? inches, cm or? PS. That list should definately be here in this thread. EDIT: Okay I tried the console command and it was in inches, but it only seems to update the statistics not the actual height at all. How does the python code work in "Enlarge Person" spell?
The actual in-game size you see is set in protos for npc's and monsters. Pc character height and weight is in the creation menu. Like human male is 6'6" and 200lbs max. I'm not sure there is a console command to increase pc character height and have it reflect in the game. The protos file can be edited to increase the size of npc's and monsters, but not for pc's.
I did find a way to do it via hacking the protos and a few console commands, but I can't remember how I did it, just it wa a bit of messing about.
There has to be a python script (that can be runned from console) that adjusts the character height, because there is a spell Enlarge?
He's always been good at fanning the flames. I mean, flaming our fans. :giggle: Ahhh well, I was saving that line for a new Kecik comic but it was soooo apt
