levelup.tab: how does it work?

    hi, I'm trying to work on some idea but I can't understand the logic behind the levelup.tab. It is clear that inside there there are the spells owned by each NPC that it is possible to hire and the class with wich they will level up, as well the skills where the AI will automatically invest skill points.
    instead I'm unsure about the feats part because class abilities that are often considered as class feats (barbarian rage, uncanny dodge and stuff) are mixed with feats gained with leveling up. For me, it looks random. They should be the feats that the NPCs should be supposed to learn, but often they are a copy of the ones already assigned in the protos. May anybody give me any clue, please?
