@maggit: *shrug* maybe should be plated, be plate-ish looking with large plates, or look like a lot of turtle shells (?)
Well, now it's option C, although the colour is not as green as you can see. I took the colour from a photo of a turtle shell...
Blech...:blegh: Now matter how you do it, it's still going to look like the bad guys from Galaxy Quest: http://www.questarian.com/Databank/Production/gq-prod01.htm About the only thing it might be good for is vegepygmies if we were going to do Expedition to the Barrier Peaks; which, I seriously doubt. Besides, you'd have to shrink that bad guy by half, at least.
http://www.crystalkeep.com/d20/rules/DnD3.5Index-Equipment.pdf For those who havent seen it, good list of random armors and stuff from many different supplements, along with weapons and all kinds of other equipment. crystalkeep also does a whole bunch of other summaries, prestige class compendiums and so on (the PrC stuff only shows prereqs, basic descriptions and first two levels of advancement to keep it from being a copyright issue - still good stuff. http://www.crystalkeep.com/d20/index.php
i wonder why they never added the prestige classes to the game, especially since there is an execution flag about prestige class.
@L_G. Troika ran out of development time, they were considering adding sub-races (drow, derro, svirfneblin etc...) as well, they were also cut to save time, but there are still references to them in certain files.
I still reckon if we could just add one extra class and call it 'prestige', the rest could be done via scripting. Why was Brad taken from us so young??? :suprised:
Firstly, why are we discussing PrCs here? About the scripting and classes... I heard that the monk's belt grants monks and other classes with working monk feats, is that true? And do those features work without having the belt on? Another thing about the prestige classes or/and sub-races... Remember when we were discussing the possibility of adding a scripted drow head for drows which would grant them their racial feats? From what I know there are "invisible" inventory slots... and couldn't it be added to the PCs inventory like that? The same could be done with some kind of a Prestige Class token...
Yars, but really you still need the seperate class for level-up moments: we can script everything with bonus-adding stuff like the monk's belt, stored in inventory slots not shown on screen (and thus effectively behind-the-scenes) but I think to advance a level in your prestige class you would need to have one to advance, otherwise you are advancing as something else, like it would say "10th Level Bard" rather than "8th level bard / 2nd level prestige class" which in this case would be arcane archer. If the game kept saying you were something you were not it would be cheesy, plus when you went up a level in the other class you would get additional bonuses which we would then have to figure out how to get rid of / suppress.
