If shell armour is just sticking your head and arms through a turtle shell, then the breastplate should work, yah. Maggit, can we have some screenies? (Or are they in another thread?)

I never understood why ringmail was left out.

shell armour isn't just sticking your head through a turtle shell its slightly differnt to that and anyway a breast plate is as much like a turtle shell as green mystic garb.

    Code:
    Kappa Shell	30 gp **	— -10 50% —	—	45 1b.
** The Kappa shell grants you cover. See the description.

Shell: This armour is created out of specially treated tortoise shells and more exotic sea life. The armour making process softens the shells, making them far more pliable and likely to bend instead of shatter when struck. Shell armour includes a breastplate, shoulder guards and even gauntlets created from smaller and smaller shells. Druids can wear shell armour without losing access to their spells or class features.

Kappa Shell:* Nezumi soldiers (A PC race in oriental adventures) occasionally use kappa shells for protectution, straping the hard shells to their backs and crawling on all fours to advance their position. Used this way, a kappa shell functions much like a tower shield, providing nine-tenths cover (+10 to AC, +4 on reflex saves, with half damage on a failed save and none on a successful save) as long as the covered nezumi remains on all fours, moving at half his speed. Once engaged in melee, a sensible ratling sheds the shell entirely. Humans can use kapa shells as well, but generally find the concept demeaning. A character needs Shield Proficiency to use a kappa shell without penalty.

*Kappa is a monstrous humanoid from Oriental Adventures and Japanese myth (think Ninja Turtle)

Well if we could get armour to apply bonuses only when in sneak mode (which would require some nifty scripting to say the least) then I guess it would be doable... I tihnk I'm with the humans on this one though ;)

Sorry, I forgot about screens... :p I'll have to work on it a little more
but tell me what you think. If someone had a heart attack after seeing the
inventory icon, don't worry. It's only a template.

I don't like it, the shoulders don't match the rest of the suit and I think the arms and legs should be darker.

It looks like the lower part of the armor maches the shoulder guards. I think it looks pretty good.

Those lower parts were supposed to be knee pads. ;)
Guess I'll have to retexture them a bit. They looked
strange when I used the "back" side of the shell...
    but I'll try it again...

From a modding standpoint, it's okay to create new stuff, but Cujo's right; it needs more work. However, I don't think it belongs in ToEE, where there are no Ninja turtles or those other type creatures. This is Greyhawk, after all. I guess what we need to do is create the module which first appeared in a Dragon Magazine some years ago called Baba Yaga's Hut. It was written around the finding of the artifact, which has a tesseract inside. The hut contained many strange and wondrous things, of which this might be one.

@Lord_spike: I think Ah Fong could have this type of armor.
He's got many strange and exotic things in his shop. Oh, and
the shell armour is not from Cujo's Oriental adventures but
from the Arms and Equipment Guide which is intended for the
    standard Greyhawk universe.

I've done some more photoshopping to make it resemble the
one from AEG. Here's the new screen. I think it looks MUCH
better now. Maybe even Cujo will like it. :)

Oh... and I don't know what to do with the back... so far it's
made of turtle shells. Should it be the same "texture" as in
    the front?

If you want to test it in-game just download the previous
file and then the one in this very post and overwrite the contents
of the previous. My bro helped me with the icon. :D

Maybe this will shed some light and help answer the question. Here's a foto of the same turtle, top and bottom.

get going to the university. :D

OK, is this green enough? Oh and now you can see the back.
Does something need to be done with it?
