    Sounds good. Though I just remembered that the "Find Traps" spell allows the caster to function like a Rogue for the duration. I have no idea how it's actually implemented in ToEE, though. (Or if it even has any use in default ToEE, since all characters seem capable of finding traps anyway.)

    Hey Livonya -

    I'm experiencing a CTD when using 8 PCs with the over-5 PC crack. It seems to occur upon getting to Hommlett the first time, just before the Kent encounter. Less than 8 works fine, it seems. Any ideas?

    Otherwise, very nice work. The kids do liven things up considerably.

    Oh, absolutely. My kids mod is NOT compatible with having 8 PCS at the very start of the game. I didn't think about that.

    At the end of the opening scene an invisible NPC joins your party, and then immediately destroys himself after creating the first child. You never see this NPC, but he takes an NPC slot for about 2 seconds and that is what is causing the CTD.

    There is no way to fix that. The only thing you can do is to start with 7 and then pick the 8th up in the Inn after starting the game.

    You can still have 8 just don't get the 8th until you get to the Inn. I assume you can add more characters in the Inn via the sign-in book?

    I can add a fail safe so that if you do start the game with 8 NPCs then the kids simply won't appear and you won't get a CTD.

    That will be really easy to add.

    Livonya, I think there may be a problem with your little mod. In the clearing around brother Smyth, there have appeared 12 locked doors. they weren't there before I added your kids mod and the locked chest mod.

    Am I the only one having this problem? If so, maybe it IS something I did...

    Interesting approach (adding an invisible NPC to the party). Hadn't thought about that. How do you come up with all that stuff? ;)

    In order to avoid the 8-PC-bug Gaear experienced, you could also spawn the invisible NPC in Hommlet (you can use Agetian's mod studio to create the corresponding .mob file in the Hommlet map folder and add the NPC to protos.tab). The NPC is then used as an "anchor" for all the other spawn scripts. That's how I managed to spawn stuff in the Arena. Should work for the kids, too.

    I don't see these 12 doors. So I don't know what to tell you about that.

    Sounds like something is off with yout set-up, but I am not sure.

    I have not used Agetian's mod studio. I can't seem to get it to work.

    So I had to find other ways, such as creating invisible NPCs.. who can spawn the good stuff...

    Myabe I will give Agetian's mod studio another try, but I was trying to make my additions without messing with the actual maps.

    Okay, my new build will work perfectly with 8 NPCs.

    Yeah, you were right it was way better to use the spawner studio to create an invisible anchor.

    I posted an updated version of my mod for kids...

    It uses a lot less files now, though there is one additional line to the protos.

    Hmmm . . . are the corrected files still the ones listed in your first post? I DLed and recopied them, but I still seem to have the same problem. Maybe I'm goofing something up.

    I think you probably still have a few files from Livonya's first version in your data folder.

    You can (and should) delete these:

    Livonya: The invisible critter in the protos.tab you posted doesn't have a heartbeat entry. Also, the .py file used for spawning seems to be missing. Are you sure you posted all the necessary files?

    Okay M, I deleted all the above files and 8 PCs works fine. But now - no more Kent and the gang. I'm cornfused! ???
