I hope you had a good day and the night went well. Nothing of much to write about today/tonight. To all who sleep tonight on this side of the earth, The Nightly Mission: Sleep, and sleep well. Wake in the morning and be bright. May the Lady smile on you and me too. G'night.
I hope you had a good day and the night goes well. I leave to go to training tomorrow and come back Fri night. While I am not particularly interested in the training, I'm sure it will be helpful, one way or the other. We are required to have so many hours of training a year, and I think it is getting harder to find training that I haven't gone to. I'm taking my laptop with me. To all who sleep tonight on this side of the earth, The Nightly Mission: Open minds open the door to new experience and knowledge. So drift off to sleep with that thought...and what the morrow brings. May the Lady smile on you and me too. G'Night.
I hope you had a good day and the night is going well. Orlando is hot. But tonight, it is quite pleasant out, with a strong breeze. Tomorrow I find out what the training is all about. To all who sleep tonight on this side of the earth, The Nightly Mission: Sleep in a strange bed, perhaps you'll have strange dreams. Wake up in the morning and see what you remember. May the Lady smile on you and me too. G'Night.
I hope you had a good day and that the night will go well. The morning training was rather boring, as it was not something I was particularly interested in. The presenters however, did a good job. The afternoon training was fun and woke everyone up after a lengthy business lunch. I forgot to mention that I saw a lizard sunning itself on my front porch yesterday, enjoying the afternoon sun. So at least one lizard in my yard survived the winter. This is good news, as I read that lizards all over the earth, in addition to amphibians, are going extinct due to inclement weather and ecological changes from global warming. To all who will sleep tonight on this side of the earth, The Nightly Mission: Sleeping in your own bed results in the soundest sleep of all. Wake up looking at familiar things. May the Lady smile on you and me too. G'Night.
I hope you had a good day and the night went well. Very quiet at work tonight, not a single call. I have a friend who has an animal sanctuary for injured animals, mostly squirrels. She generally keeps them when they recover, as they are too tame by then to put out into the wild. They often sleep on her lap while she works from home on her computer. In her "office" area, they each have their own bed. She gets quite attached to them, and it sounds like they are equally attached to her. Interesting woman. To all who sleep tonight on this side of the earth, The Nightly Mission: Scent is powerful. Array sachets, wicked bottles of essential oils or potted plants around your bed and drift off to sleep riding on the aroma. Or better yet, with the scent of your loved one inhaled into your dreams. Wake up in the morning and breathe. May the Lady smile on you and me too. G'Night.
I hope you had a good day and the night goes well. It's nice outside, with half a moon or so up, a breeze and cool enough to be comfortable. To all who will sleep tonight on this side of the earth, The Nightly Mission: Sleep however you may, set sail to your dreams, follow the course of the uncharted and unfettered mind. Wake up in the morning, if not with new insight, then marveling at how creative you can be. May the Lady smile on you and me too. G'Night.
I hope you had a good day yesterday and the night went well. Yesterday, a friend used his cam to show me a swallow's nest above his front door with 4 baby birds in it. Later on in the day, he showed me some geese at the pond by his house with baby goslings. Fluffy yellow goslings, 5 or 6 of them. There is a pond near my house too, but full of stagnant water from the rain that washes off the highway, a catch pond. I've never seen birds actually on or near that pond, although the hawks supposedly have nests in the live oaks around it. That's where the frogs (that I haven't seen this year) come from. I hope you slept well last night, soundly, with sweet dreams floating in and out of your consciousness. And woke up this morning with a clear head. May the Lady smile on you and me too. G'Morning!
I hope you had a good day and the night has been going well. Just got trounced in a game of chess. Not being a very logical person, that isn't at all surprising. Graduation "season" is in full swing. All the relatives you never wanted to see are flocking to view and celebrate the various coming-of-age rituals, the merchants are smiling, and those who don the gowns and hats are probably thinking about the oncoming parties they will attend. Nothing beats watching a college graduation. All the profs come marching down the aisles wearing their various alma mater gowns, ribbons, tassels and whatnots...it is positively medieval. At the training the other day, I met a woman from England, a tourist. She was about to throw away an empty pack of cigarettes and I asked her for it. English cigarettes. On one side, the front, fully half of the pack has in bold block letters "Cigarettes Kill." On the other side is a photo image of someone in the morgue. To all who will sleep tonight on this side of the earth, The Nightly Mission: Sleep soundly, riding the ether with your mind. But do so protected. Wake up with your spirit free. May the Lady smile on you and me too. G'Night!
Yes, the cap and gown ARE medevial, and are descended from religious regalia from ancient places of learning. The various cloaks, hood amd capes signify achievements and the colors on the trim signify fields of study and awards. I generally wear the color appropriate to the department I am seated with that day. This year I attend three graduations at three institutions, only one of which I taught at this spring. Obligations. Underneath the robes we are naked, except for tattoos, piercings, body paint and jewelry, plus, of course, the weapons we will be using before the orgies and ritual sacrifices and the summoning of new faculty for the summer sessions. Ted probably knows more about such things than I do.
Would love to see a graduation at one of those colleges with stone walls, etc. Wow. Oooh. Even more reason to attend a graduation. How my mind will wander. Makes me a tad sad that I did not go on to get my MS. Tsk Tsk. If only someone had informed me of the um undercover status and subsequent activities, perhaps I might have decided to pursue the grad degree. Hmmm. Mayhap should spend more time talking with Ted.
I hope you had a good day and the night is going well. Full moon tonight. In Sagittarius, my sign. I don't know if that bodes well or should be alarming. I am eating cherries. I love cherries. Probably my favorite fruit, followed closely by honey tangerines. I've never seen honey tangerines anywhere but here in Florida. Too soft to travel well, I guess. They look scabrous as well, even though they are very smooth. Ahhh, the night comes at last. To all who will sleep tonight on this side of the bright earth, The Nightly Mission: Late at night the silence is a deep pool. Try floating in it before falling into sleep. Wake up feeling clean. May the Lady smile on you and me too. G'Night!
I hope you had a good day and the night went well. Friday night, actually Saturday morning now I guess, and the full moon is still exacting it's measure of insanity...on me at least. I suppose everyone else or most everyone else gets to fly high during a full moon, but I do not. Ahhh well. Full moons pass and so does insanity. To all who sleep tonight on this side of the still bright earth, The Nightly Mission: When things seem to be at their darkest, remember the light is somewhere close at hand, for the light and the dark chase each other; close your eyes and look for it. Wrap it around yourself and sink into sleep. Things will be brighter in the morning. May the Lady smile on you and me too. G'Night.
I hope you had a good day and the night has gone well. All the way into work this evening, I drove at the front edge of a thunderstorm. As I have mentioned before, thunderstorms here in Florida tend to be quite fierce. And the summer storms are perhaps the strongest of all, albeit fairly brief, generally. We are moving into hurricane season. I have water jugs to fill yet, and non perishable food to stock. Batteries. You can never have enough batteries, seems like. As the moon starts to wane, my mood improves. This moon was a rough one. I'm glad it isn't full all the time. To all who will sleep tonight on this side of the earth, The Nightly Mission: Solitude can be a blessing when one's emotions are unstable. So also can silence. Focus and still the noise that rattles around inside your skull and fall into blissful sleep. Wake up centered.. May the Lady smile on you and me too. G'Night.
I hope you had a good day and the night is going well. I have finally found someone who can help me get the game installed and...dare I say it...working. We are going to use Skype and share our screens so he can walk me through what I need to do with Vista to get ToEE to work. Yay! So if there is anyone out there that thinks this is a bad idea, let me know please. One bright thing in a bad day. And night. To all who will sleep tonight on this side of the earth, The Nightly Mission: Visualize a ping pong ball, set it to glowing. Bring it inside your head, see it in there with all the darkness. See it slowly absorb the dark, take the dark into itself and start to dim as it fills up with darkness. When it is totally dim and dark, cast it out of your head, send it flying away from you like a meteor, off into outer space. Sleep empty. Sleep well. Wake up with a mind free of fear, anguish and pain. May the Lady smile on you and me too. G'Night.
