I hope you have a good day and the night is going well. Strange how what happens to other people can have such a profound effect on you, too. Even when it seems like it wouldn't. To all who sleep tonight on this side of the earth, The Nightly Mission: Sleep well. Wake up in the morning. May the Lady smile on you and me too. G'Night.
I hope you had a good day and the night is going well. I read where Florida had the coldest March weather for a very long time. Conversely, the rest of the nation had the warmest March weather. So much for snow bunnies. Shudda stayed put. But April has been a decently Spring month. Cool enough at night to leave the window open, warm enough in the daytime to wear shorts, but not fall down fainting from the humidity. Nice. To all who sleep tonight on this side of the earth, The Nightly Mission: Breathe, breathe, breathe, and let the white light wash away all the negative stuff that has been eating a hole in your mind and heart. Wake up the next morning a little more intact. May the Lady smile on you and me too. G'Night.
I hope you had a good day and the night goes well. Cats do strange things. They congregate. Twice now, I've seen them gathered in a group, just sitting around. No meowing. No growling. Quite a bit of 'I'm keeping an eye on you, buddy, just to make sure you don't pull anything.' And no females in heat, either. Both times I was out walking, once a long time ago in the middle of the night, again tonight, just a little while ago. First time I believe was in Oregon, this time in Florida. I wonder what they are doing? The first time, there was maybe 20 cats, tonight about 8. I think those 8 account for all the cats in the neighborhood that are allowed out. Most people don't know a whole lot about cats, never having seen them their litter and extended family intact. But I bet nobody knows why they congregate. To all who will sleep tonight on this side of the earth, The Nightly Mission: Counting your heartbeat does not work as well as counting sheep, so don't do it. Wake up and ground yourself. May the Lady smile on you and me too. G'Night.
I remember waking up as a kid looking out my window and seeing a similar thing. We had a circular fish pond that had been filled in and planted with roses. The cats were sitting under a full moon evenly spaced faceing inwards. I was sure it was a coven of witches and it scared the sh1t out of me. In Rome there is a ruined temple where feral cats live. After supper the locals bring out leftovers and feed them. It's quite a sight. A study showed that related females, mothers, daughters, granddaughters will coperate and raise kittens together.
I think that would scare me, too. Very true. PBS had an interesting video about cats. I had 2 cats that had litters about the same time. One cat gave up on her kittens. The other mother just added those kittens to her own litter. They weren't related, either.
I hope you had a good day and the night went well. Not a particularly auspicious day for me. To all who sleep tonight on this side of the earth, The Nightly Mission: Knowing there is nothing you can do about a particular problem means half of it is already resolved. Think about that when you review the day's events before falling asleep. Wake up with less problems. May the Lady smile on you and me too. G'Night.
I hope you had a good day and the night went well. To all who sleep tonight on this side of the earth, The Nightly Mission: Sleep in warmth and safety, Wake up in the light. May the Lady smile on you and me too. G'Night.
I hope you had a good day and the night swings high. Thought I'd try something different on my entry line. There is not a whole going on lately in my life, thus the minuscule posts. But it is Friday night, and once again, I am restless. And bored. To all who will sleep tonight on this side of the earth, The Nightly Mission: Sleep, visiting your dreamworld as you do and linger in your sweet dreams for as long as they last. Wake up to reality. May the Lady smile on you and me too. G'Night.
I hope you had a good day and the night went well. Long day. Long night. Full moon closing in on us all soon. And the first of May coming right behind that. To all who sleep tonight on this side of the earth, The Nightly Mission: Dreams are stepping stones that go in all directions, choose your path carefully, or go willy-nilly, I think you will get to the same place in the end. Dream sweet, sleep deep. Wake up remembering. May the Lady smile on you and me too. G'Night!
I hope you had a good day and the night goes well. Rained all day here, and thunder/lighting off and on as well. I had a unique (for me) experience today of tracking someone who was hiking in a forested area and had only the ability to text information, while I had a topo map of the area up online, and could send him short emails. Very short text comments are not the best way to communicate. It was interesting though. To all who sleep tonight on this side of the earth, The Nightly Mission: Sleep that comes from exhaustion is not the most restorative. Far better to get enough sleep to begin with. Wake up resolved to do better, sleepwise. May the Lady smile on you and me too. G'Night.
I hope you had a good day and the night is going well. Monday. Full moon. I am totally emotional and out of it today. I am glad I didn't have to work. I hope the rest of you are doing better. It was cool out at twilight, a breeze blowing. The birds seemed to like it, were singing more than normal. My wind chimes sounded nice. The breeze felt good, and for a short while, everything seemed to be in place. To all who sleep tonight on this side of the lit up earth, The Nightly Mission: Leave a window open, let the cool night air brush your face, take you off into your dreamworld. Wake up while it is still cool and fresh in the room. May the Lady smile on you and me too. G'Night.
There's been a group of us at the office building I work at that have been taking care of a mother goose who's nesting and lost her mate. The mate was hit by a car driven by another person who works at this building and was witnessed by several people. It was NOT an accident. Unfortunately. Apparently she has the only "certain colour" car in the lot. Easy to spot. I must admit it's taken a good deal of my willpower NOT to do something to her car. Momma's already got the deck stacked against her, losing her mate and all, but now she's repeatedly harassed by two other geese, both males I believe, who chase her off her nest (and eggs) for the feed one of the other ladies brings her. That lady, whom I had the pleasure to meet and talk with a bit, comes from a farm family who raised all sorts of waterfowl, so her experience is quite a benefit! The rest of us make sure the other two geese leave her alone. It's not uncommon to see someone or even you humble narrator, chasing off these avian hoodlums. Hopefully they'll get the hint that this is not a good place to come seeking food. WFG (widowed female goose) seems to appreciate the help and attention. She still won't let anyone get too close to her or the nest, but she's definitely a little less aggressive with her human helpers. Makes me feel good, being part of this little deal. Farm lady says the eggs, of which there are 7 I believe, should hatch in a week or less. More to come....
I hope you had a good day and the night goes well. The owl was hooting as I got out of my car this evening at work. Someone at work had a birthday, and someone else made a maple walnut pie, similar to a pecan pie, to celebrate the occasion. It was the best pie of that type I have ever eaten. Very very good. So now I am intensely sugared up and get to drive home (we finished the pie right before my shift ended). I told the person who made the pie, that it was worth marrying her just to get the pie. She looked a little startled until she realized I was joking. To all who will sleep tonight on this side of the still brightly lit earth, The Nightly Mission: Ride a moonbeam into sleep. Dream of wild witchy things. Wake up to a normal morning. May the Lady smile on you and me too.
Always keep 'em guessing! It's fun to mess a bit with Humans' minds. They're just sooo easy!
I hope you had a good day and a good night, too. It was so nice today. Not hot, not cold, just right. Breezy. And all the tree leaves are bright green and shiny. My dogwood tree didn't have very many blossums this year, and when it was trimmed, what blossoms there were fell to the ground (along with the branches they were on). So I never really got to admire it this year. Tonight, it is cool out. I worked at my old job tonight, after a long time of not doing it, and had a really good time. To all who sleep tonight on this side of the earth, The Nightly Mission: Air out your house so it smells fresh and clean tonight as you fall asleep. Wake up inhaling. May the Lady smile on you and me too. G'Night.
