I hope you had a good lday and the night has gone well. Rained today, and was fairly warm, and is still warmish out. I saw a tree frog on the outside wall where I work. And a really huge moth circling around the street light. At first I thought it was a bird, it was so big. Then it was joined by another one. I wonder what moths that are that big find to eat at night. Doesn't seem like there would be many flowers open at night. It is rather embarassing to tell, but I have a morbid fear of moths or butterflies touching me with their legs. Don't mind the wings. Or even the bodies (I really don't know on that one). It makes me shudder just to think of it. To all who will sleep tonight on this side of the earth, The Nightly Mission: Sleep warm and safe. Wake up sane. May the Lady smile on you and me too. G'Night.
I hope you had a good day and the night is going well. Friday night. Dark moon and daylight savings time coming up. Almost set the house on fire again. Me and my unwatched pots. Walked around the neighborhood this morning, and it seems so long ago, that I barely remember doing it. Time is like a rubber band, they say. Someone says. Mine must be stretched out nearly full length. If that's possible. I do remember seeing the red red red young Cardinal. At a house on the next street up from the one I live on. So. To all who would sleep tonight on this side of the soon dark dark earth, The Nightly Mission: Slumber sweeps away the cobwebs trailing from the vaulted reaches of the mind, empties the trash from the floor, even scours the dank dungeony cellars, sending the mice and rats scurrying away, the bats flapping to other abodes and bedding the ghosts down into the bone littered earth where they belong. So when it seems like you need a good house cleaning, sleep for awhile. Wake up, when you do, lighter. Much lighter. May the Lady smile on you and me too. G'Night!
I hope you had a good day and the night is great. Don't forget to spring forward 1 hour with your clocks tongiht. The dark moon misses daylight savings time by 1 night. It will come early Monday morning, I think. I burned up another pot. Not many more to go. This one was my best one. I also burned up the artichokes I was looking forward to eating tonight. I think I will still try it and see what burned artichokes taste like. I was steaming them, so maybe it won't be that bad. Maybe. How many pots (and near house fires) have I burned up now? Three, I think. Tsk tsk. It's all Farmville's fault. I slept enough to satisfy a cat. To all who will sleep tonight on this side of the earth, The Nightly Mission: Motto for the night: The more pillows, the merrier. Motto for the morning: Rise and shine. May the Lady smile on you and me too. G'Night.
I hope you had a good day and the night is, too. I ate grits for the first time today. Fried. They weren't bad. Not great, but not bad. My artichokes, though scorched, were ok. Not great either, but ok. Passable. Up early again tomorrow and walking. And that's it for me tonight. To all who sleep tonight on this side of the soon to be dark earth, The Nightly Mission: You don't need wings to be able to fly high in your sleep... so go! Soar with the eagles. Maybe in the morning, your vision will be improved. May the Lady smile on you and me too. G'Night.
I Hope you had a good day and night. The Dark Moon is out there somewhere...and the phones rang of the hook tonight at work. And I was by myself. Earned my money tonight, I did. And my mind is so charged with energy that I feel like sparks are coming out of my head, almost. Wow. Walked this morning, but it took 1 1/2 cups of coffee before the legs wanted to move. And locally grown rhubarb is in the stores. I just might make a rhubarb pie. W/o strawberries. I used to make killer rhubarb pies. To all who sleep tonight on this side of the thoroughly dark earth, The Nightly Mission: When your brain feels like drops of water on a hot cast iron frying pan, take 5 or 10 minutes to turn off the heat. When you wake up, you will be glad you did... May the Lady smile on you and me too. G'Night!
I hope you had a good day and the night went well. I had a good day. And have to get up early, and am up late. To all who sleep tonight on this side of the earth, The Nightly Mission: Sleep well, Wake with energy the next morning. May the Lady smile on you and me too. G'Night!
I hope you had a good day and the night was too. Rained this morning when I walked around the neighborhood. So me and my umbrella took a stroll. Three house for sale and another 2 vacant. People have such strange things in their yards. You wonder what they were thinking when they bought them. A miniature lighthouse, with a birdbath towering over it. A fake windmill, 6 ft tall. Made of metal, like wire coat-hangers soldered together or something. Someone must have liked the windmill, because they got a hanging crescent moon, about the same height, maybe a little less, made the same way. Maybe they are for vines to creep up. I actually liked the crescent moon. No buzzards. None for days. I don't know if that's good or bad. And that's it for me. Time for bed. To all who sleep tonight on this side of the earth, The Nightly Mission: Next to a heartbeat by your ear, a purring cat works wonders to slow you down, pull you into sleep. Just be sure and let the cat out in the morning. May the Lady smile on you and me too. G'Night!
I hope you had a good day and the night is going well. Up again, but later this morning, totally ignored the alarm and slept until 7. Saw one of the Bluejays this morning on my walk around the neighborhood. Other than that, nothing new. To all who will sleep tonight on this side of the earth, The Nightly Mission: Sleep well, sleep warm, dream sweet. Wake up early and smile. May the Lady smile on you and me too. G'Night!
I hope you have a good day and the night goes well. Friday night. I work tomorrow. Not supposed to, but... A long day today. Walked around the neighborhood and looked at all the Spring yard work everyone has been doing. Tomorrow, I am glad I won't be home, the lawnmowers will all be roaring I bet. Have to get my yard done soon, too. And buy more birdseed tomorrow too. The squirrels get up later than the birds. No lizards out yet. To all who sleep tonight on this side of the earth, The Nightly Mission: Beware the wanderer who steals into your dreams, ward him away. Keep what is true and stays. Those dreams are sweeter in the long run. Wake up with the light in your eyes. May the Lady smile on you and me too. G'Night!
I hope you had a good day and night. The city opened up the barriers today that prevent people from coming down our dirt road from the paved part that it used to connect with. The street used to run all the way through...must have been a long time ago, before the road was paved. They had some type of festival at a nearby park and were running shuttle buses down the road to ferry people back and forth from various designated parking areas. It was hot enough today to wear shorts and tanks. Still cool at night, though. No birds out at all around where I worked today. And no squirrels either. Normally working at night, I thought they were all settled in the trees by the time I got there. But maybe the owls have cleared them all out. To all who sleep tonight on this side of the earth, The Nightly Mission: Sleep safe. Be warm. Dream sweetly. Wake up in the light. May the Lady smile on you and me too. G'Night.
I hope you had a good day and night. Well. From almost hot, tanks and shorts, to almost cold, long sleeves and pants. I guess that's typical Spring weather, and I just forgot how Spring normally is any where other than in the South. Spring Equinox today. Just got informed that I should have collected a bottle of rain water today...and didn't. To all who sleep tonight on this side of the earth, The Nightly Mission: Throw out the garbage and keep the gold...a good adage for March, and for bedtime, too. Wake up richer. May the Lady smile on you and me too. G'Night.
I Hope you had a good day and the night has gone well. Turned the wrong way, twisted my back and I don't think I am going anywhere for a couple of days. To all who sleep tonight on this side of the earth, The Nightly Mission: Sleep. Dream. Float. Wake up with no pain. May the Lady smile on you and me too. G'Night.
I hope you had a good day and the night goes well. Spent the entire day in bed with a heating pad. Great sleeping pill...pain and heating pad. Slept all day, too. It's better. Good thing. I work my butt off the next few days. To all who sleep tonight on this side of the earth, The Nightly Mission: Warmth is good. Sleep warm and long. Wake up bright. May the Lady smile on you and me too. G'Night.
